About The Mod


Counter-Strike Dead Scenes is the most ambitious mod for Counter-Strike, designed to make the game a Survival-Horror in which you will have to survive waves of zombies, aliens, terrorists and other monsters, it also has its own campaign mode that will be at the same time zombies mode (something like Left 4 Dead), an Arcade mode that would survive the stages while the difficulty increases and will have more than 14 game modes available! It is also compatible with the AMXX Mod, Metamod, Metahook plugins and it has support for Detailed Textures, also add new models, textures, sounds, maps and improve the graphics to satisfy the player more, so... Try it! You will surely love it ;)

Requirements


Well... Based on the improved graphics, textures and the new maps of this Counter-Strike, here I bring you the minimum requirements to run it:

*1.7 GHz processor

*512 MB of RAM

*1 GB graphics card

*Available space on the 6 GB disk

*Any Version of Windows (Vista, XP, 7, 8, 10) of 32 and 64 Bit

Modes


These are the confirmed game modes that will be available:

*Zombie Mode (Story): it will be a story mode but with zombies, something like Left 4 Dead

*Zombie Mode (Alternative): it will be a zombie mode but with different NPC's to the one from Zombie Story and it will be fulfilling objectives

*Knife Attack: it will be a survival mode but only using the knife

*Time Attack: it will be fulfilling a mission before time runs out

*Arena Mode: it will be an all against all, both Aliens and Zombies, Humans, Hostiles etc...

*Boss Rush Mode: it will be a survival mode but only with the bosses of CS Online and Half-Life

*Alien Mode (Story): it will be an Alien mode with history, something like the Zombie Story but with a different plot

*Alien Mode (Alternative): it will be an Alien mode but fulfilling objectives and with different NPCs, something like the Zombie Alternative

*Zombie Spin-Off: it will be a mission which you can choose whether to end it as the original ending or as the zombie ending

*Hostile Mode (Story): it will be a story mode but against Terrorists

*Hostile Mode (Alternative): it will be a mode against Terrorists but with different NPCs and objectives

*Nazi Zombies Mode: this mode will be a hybrid between the Zombie Scenario modes of CS Nexon Zombies and Nazi Zombies from Call Of Duty

*Mini-Game Mode: it will be a minigame only accessible through Easter Eggs on the maps, the minigames may vary but the one I currently plan will be to eliminate all the rats before time runs out!

Hello again dear friends, followers of this project! I have had the opportunity and time to write a new newsletter about the progress that Dead Scenes is currently making,
Let's look at some important details that are being developed to be able to adapt to the game in the future!


1. The Weapons


As expected, if we want to add new content to the game we must start with the most important part like any other shooter game, the weapons!... since many people were eagerly awaiting this new proposal of being able to add more weapons to the game in a future, I inform those people who asked in the past... IF IT IS POSSIBLE!!!, I have been working hard to be able to add more weapons to the game and I am pleased to say that the game will have more than 100 weapons in the arsenal to Don't make things so boring.


Deleted Weapons

(weapons eliminated according to Computer Gaming World magazine such as the crossbow, the grenade launcher, the bouncing bety, etc. will also be available in the future!)


The weapons will have an improvement system by collecting a box that will be generated randomly in
the map (in campaign mode, these boxes will be hidden in specific places), the improvement mechanism for weapons is defined in the following example:


DS Weapon Sistem


As you can see, everything is derived from a weapon, the normal form... by collecting a certain box of parts the weapon will gradually change its form to super, adding more damage, and more ammunition. By improving the super form of a weapon, we go to the Wonder version, this version will retain the improvements of its super predecessor, adding more damage, more ammunition, and a "hidden power" depending on the weapon, let's say... in the case of The AK-47's hidden power will be a railgun shot (which will be activated using the secondary attack). And finally, by collecting another box of parts our weapon will go from the Wonder version to the Hyper version... which, like its predecessors, will retain the past improvements, only this time the hidden power will go to "Elemental Mode", this mode also Damage to opponents also leaves a temporary effect on them, for example: the elements that will contain effects planned to date are the following:


Fire Element: will cause burns to the target that will constantly reduce health.


Wind Element: will push targets that are shot to avoid cornering.


Lightning Element: will have a chance to paralyze the target for a few seconds.


Earth Element: will have a chance to explode targets, affecting the surrounding area.


Demonic Element: weapons will double their damage but will use your life as ammunition.


Divine Element: Weapons will steal life from your enemies and heal you, but with very little damage.


and that's all that's planned in the weapons section so far! Sometimes I've been wondering if it would be a good idea to add hyper mode to weapons since that could be an imbalance in the meta-game (it's because so I marked the hyper section with a question mark), and in order to compensate... I decided that some of these weapons will not have their hyper, super or wonder variations depending on the weapon... so you could assemble with the pieces for example a Desert Eagle Wonder but not an AWP Hyper due to the limitations to prevent the player from being Over Powered.
but all this is subject to testing and possible changes in the future, so nothing is 100% confirmed yet!


2. New Event (Companion)


To start with a special update, we need an equally special event to enter the next build in good spirits... that is why the first event will be a competition to decide who will take the first pet prototypes home!... And yes, you read that right. PETS!... since Dead Scenes is trying to implement this mechanism so that you have your own personalized companion and can face the zombies and the missions in a more fun and not so lonely way, these pets will accompany the player on any map or mission and they will help you finish off the enemies faster, what is planned so far is that they are immortal and as I said before, they are customizable! To explain better we are going to go into details:


The_Companions


* In the Opening Event of the next build, players must pass a map in a limited time and without dying in the attempt, they must record their race until the end and send the videos to our discord, from there... I along with The rest of us will judge whether the video is fake or not and if cheats were used to record it, although rest assured that the game will come with a new anticheat for each event.


* Once the videos are sent until the exact deadline. 3 people were chosen who were the first to send the material to discord and they were asked how they specifically want their companion, for example: whether their companion is a loli with an m4, an alien with a ray gun or even a dog! (but keep in mind that perhaps the models used to make these companions are not my own, therefore you should specify which model you specifically want to be your companion)


Fast Walker
This system is inspired by the beta version that was going to be implemented in early versions of half-life, but for unknown reasons... Valve discarded it


But let's say that since this is an opening event, the limit of winners will be extended until the closing period of the same event. In short, there will be no limit on winners!, and as I said before, all this is subject to changes and variations in the future, so commenting your opinion on the matter could help the game understand what the community really wants, and if a good decision is really being made here!


3. The New Maps


I've been working on the new maps for a long time, this time it's zombie mode's turn! (interestingly... the game itself is about zombies, but the zombies mode was implemented some time after everything was ready, oh well... :'3) to make the first zombies mode of the game, I decided to recreate the Recoil map but in its beta version and adding more Terrifying details since Recoil is my favorite mission of the entire Deteled Scenes Original:

As the image says, this was a recreation of the lost media file "Doug Lombardi's Interview" from Condition Zero that you can see using the following link, i use each frame of that video to making the recreation as close to 100% as possible with the original map and it was quite a challenge!, since the video is in very poor quality and calculating the depth was not an easy task hehe, Even so, with this map ready, the zombies mode will expand, adding new maps and challenges each time as the new builds are constantly updated!


4. The Lore


Well... we have to talk about a very important and decisive topic about the development of the campaign, and that is the lore behind the game! To begin with... I am going to be as detailed as possible regarding the story behind the game. game, as I said before, the campaign is going to be the last mode to be added, and since the main campaign is going to focus on an apocalyptic world full of zombies, I am having a hard time writing the story and not making it so cliché and repetitive. like the rest HAHAHA, I am not a writer, much less a writer of Science Fiction, but I will do my best showing the following basic points so that the story is well structured:


* The story will focus on the Counter-Strike Nexon Zombies universe:


well... this is perhaps the most important thing to have as a basis for the story of the future Dead Scenes campaign, and that is that the story of Dead Scenes will take place in the Counter-Strike Nexon Zombies universe, it is important to clarify that The story of Dead Scenes will not have a direct connection with the lore of Nexon Zombies nor will it be a continuation of it. Here I will leave some example images to give you an idea of what I mean:


Oberon Dies in CS Online
As you can see, we defeated the Oberon in season 1 of the Zombie Scenario in CS Online:

But in CS Online 2, the Oberon was never defeated and we have to defeat it once again...

The same thing happens with the other bosses, such as the battle against Dion and Phobos... which means that the story of the 2 games are in the same universe, but they are not related in any way.


The Dead Scenes lore will be in the same universe as the Nexon Zombies lore but in different places and times, that means that the consequences of past experiments in Nexon Zombies such as
"The Failure With the Super Soldiers Experiment" will have consequences in the Dead Scenes campaign, but only this canonical event will be present, there will be no characters or enemies from the Nexon Zombies
in the Dead Scenes campaign, nor will old bosses from the Nexon Zombies be present, but rather they will be totally new enemies to add more content to the saga, (the bosses from the Nexon Zombies will be available
previous Zombie Scenario like Oberon, but that will only be in survival mode) In campaign mode we already have in mind some new bosses and zombies that will undoubtedly leave more than one with headaches!


* Previously, it was thought that the Dead Scenes lore would be in the same universe as Half-Life:


I have to admit, besides counter-strike... I am a big fan of the Half-Life saga, and one day it occurred to me to make the story of Dead Scenes happen in the same universe as Half-Life, which canceled last minute, since a zombie apocalypse that came from nowhere in the middle of the 7 hour war would not make sense haha, the original plot would focus on the protagonist of Dead Scenes (Frank) is intervened by G-man to obtain a "win-win" result in the current zombie apocalypse, which... Frank accepts, but he does not know that the only benefit that G-Man wants is to please his superiors, leaving frank alone and betrayed at the end of the original story. and although I have to admit that the story is not going to be centered in the Half-Life universe, I do have to confirm that "our mutual friend" will be present in the current lore of Dead Scenes, since as some know, G-Man has the power to Intervene in other universes... (Correct me if I'm wrong, but Breen confirmed this theory by referring to the Canceled Game of Valve Prospero In Half-Life 2). I'm not going to give more details so as not to ruin the surprise when the time comes, but it will play a very important role in the plot of the game...



and that would be all the new news about the project! Creating this article took me several days to write :'3, but all this effort is worth it to be able to inform you about the development! I'm super excited to finally add these new things to the project, and even though it's a lot of work to do... I'm still super excited that one day all of this will see the light. without more to tell me dismissal, I have to work and do a lot of things for the future if I want this to have good results hehe, anyway... thanks for reading and I hope to see you in a new news article!

I'm working on a Drum And Bass (DnB) track for the opening event... and I already know, although some people are saying that at no time was the DnB genre mentioned as an official part of the game's soundtrack, I'm doing it alone for making the opening event even more special, (giving it its own musical genre) perhaps in another article I will publish some demos about the progress of the soundtracks but for now we are done!...

hola de nuevo queridos amigos seguidores de este proyecto! e tenido la oportunidad y el tiempo de volver a escribir un nuevo boletin de noticias sobre los avances que esta teniendo Dead Scenes en la actualidad,
veamos algunos detalles importantes que se estan desarrollando para poder adaptarse al juego en un futuro!


1. Las Armas


como era de esperarse, si queremos agregar nuevo contenido al juego debemos empezar por la parte mas importante como cualquier otro juego shooter, las armas!... ya que muchas personas estaban esperando con ansias esta nueva propuesta de poder agregar mas armas al juego en un futuro, les informo a aquellas personas que preguntaron en el pasado... SI ES POSIBLE!!!, e estado trabajando arduamente para poder agregar mas armas al juego y me complace decir que el juego tendra mas de 100 armas en el arsenal para no hacer las cosas tan aburridas.


Deleted Weapons

(las armas eliminadas segun la revista Computer Gaming World como la ballesta, el lanzagranadas, las bouncing bety, etc. van a estar disponibles tambien en un futuro!)


las armas tendran un sistema de mejora al recojer una caja que se generara de manera aleatoria en
el mapa (en el modo campaña, estas cajas estaran ocultas en lugares especificos), el mecanismo de mejora para las armas lo defino en el siguiente ejemplo:


DS Weapon Sistem


como pueden ver, todo esta derivado de un arma, la forma normal... al recojer cierta caja de piezas el arma cambiara gradualmente su forma a super, agregando mas daño, y mas municion. Al mejorar la forma super de un arma, pasamos a la version Wonder, esta version conservara las mejoras de su antecesor super, agregando mas daño, mas municion, y un "poder oculto" dependiendo del arma, digamos... en el caso de el AK-47 el poder oculto sera un disparo railgun (el cual se activara usando el ataque secundario). Y finalmente, al recojer otra caja de piezas nuestra arma pasara de la version Wonder a la version Hyper... que tambien como sus antecesores conservara las mejoras pasadas, solo que esta vez el poder oculto pasara a "Modo Elemental", este modo ademas de hacer daño a los oponentes tambien deja un efecto temporal en ellos, por ejemplo: los elementos que contendran efectos planeados hasta la fecha son los siguientes:


Elemento Fuego: producira quemaduras al objetivo que restaran salud constantemente.


Elemento Viento: empujara a los objetivos que sean disparados para evitar acorralamientos.


Elemento Rayo: tendra una probabilidad de paralizar al objetivo durante unos segundos.


Elemento Tierra: tendra una probabilidad de hacer explotar a los objetivos, afectando alrededor.


Elemento Demoniaco: las armas duplicaran su daño pero usaran tu vida como municion.


Elemento Divino: las armas robaran vida de tus enemigos y te sanaran, pero con muy poco daño.


y eso es todo lo que se tiene planeado en el apartado de armas hasta el momento!, aveces me e estado preguntando si seria buena idea agregar el modo hyper a las armas ya que eso podria ser un desbalance en el meta-juego (es por eso que marque la seccion del hyper con un simbolo de interrogacion), y para poder compensarlo... e decidido que algunas de estas armas no tendran sus variaciones hyper, super o wonder dependiendo del arma... asi que podrias Armar con las piezas por ejemplo una Desert Eagle Wonder pero no una AWP Hyper por las limitaciones para evitar que el jugador este Over Powered.
pero todo esto esta sujeto a pruebas y posibles cambios en el futuro, asi que nada esta 100% confirmado aun!


2. Nuevo Evento (Acompañante)


para iniciar con una update especial, necesitamos un evento igual de especial para entrar con buen animo a la siguiente build... es por eso que el primer evento sera una competencia para decidir quien se llevara los primeros prototipos de mascotas a casa!... y si, leistes bien. MASCOTAS!... ya que Dead Scenes esta tratando de implementar este mecanismo para que tengas tu propio acompañante personalizado y puedas hacerle frente a los zombies y a las misiones de una manera mas divertida y no tan solitaria, estas mascotas acompañaran al jugador en cualquier mapa o mision y te ayudaran a acabar con los enemigos mas rapido, lo que se tiene planeado hasta ahora es que sean inmortales y como dije anteriormente, sean personalizables!, para explicar mejor vamos a entrar en detalles:


The_Companions


* En El Evento de Apertura de la siguiente build los jugadores deberan pasar un mapa en un tiempo limite y sin morir en el intento, deberan grabar su carrera hasta el final y enviar los videos a nuestro discord, desde alli... yo junto a las demas personas juzgaremos si el video es falso o no y si se usaron cheats para la grabacion de este, aunque tengan por seguro que el juego vendra con un nuevo anticheat para cada evento.


* Una vez enviados los videos hasta la fecha limite exacta. se escojeran 3 personas los cuales fueron los primeros en enviar el material a discord y se les preguntara, como quieren especificamente a su acompañante, ejemplo: ya sea que su acompañante sea una loli con una m4, un alien con una pistola de rayos o incluso un perro! (pero tengan en cuenta que quizas los modelos usados para hacer estos acompañantes no sean de mi autoria, por lo tanto deberan pasar que modelo quieren que sea su acompañante especificamente)


Fast Walker

este sistema esta inspirado en la version beta que iba a ser implementada en versiones tempranas de half-life, pero que por razones desconocidas... Valve lo descarto


pero digamos que como este es un evento de apertura, el limite de ganadores se extendera hasta el periodo de cierre del mismo evento. en pocas palabras, no habra limite de ganadores!, y como dije anteriormente, todo esto esta sujeto a cambios y variaciones en un futuro, asi que comentando tu opinion al respecto podria ayudar al juego a comprender que es lo que realmente quiere la comunidad y si en verdad se esta tomando una buena decision aqui!


3. Los Nuevos Mapas


ya hacia mucho tiempo que estoy trabajando en los nuevos mapas, esta vez le toca el turno al modo zombies! (curiosamente... el juego en si se trata sobre zombies, pero el modo zombies fue
implementado tiempo despues de que todo estubiese listo, oh bueno... :'3) para hacer el primer modo zombies del juego, decidi recrear el mapa Recoil pero en su version beta y agregandole mas
detalles terrorificos ya que Recoil es mi mision favorita de todo el Deteled Scenes Original:

como dice la imagen, esta fue una recreacion del archivo lost media "Doug Lombardi's Interview" de Condition Zero que podran ver usando el siguiente enlace, use cada frame de ese video para
hacer que la recreacion este lo mas parecida al 100% con el mapa original y fue todo un reto!, ya que el video esta en una calidad muy pesima y calcular la profundidad no fue tarea sencilla hehe,
aun asi con este mapa listo, el modo zombies se expandira añadiendo cada vez nuevos mapas y retos a medida que las nuevas builds se vayan actualizando constantemente!


4. El Lore


y bien... nos toca hablar sobre un tema muy importante y decisivo sobre el desarrollo de la campaña, y es el lore detras del juego!, para empezar... me voy a poner lo mas detallista en cuanto a la historia detras del juego, como ya dije anteriormente, la campaña va a ser el ultimo modo en ser añadido, y como la campaña principal se va a centrar en un mundo apocaliptico lleno de zombies me esta costando mucho para escribir la historia y no hacerla tan cliche y repetitiva como el resto HAHAHA, no soy escritor, y mucho menos de Ciencia Ficcion, pero dare mi mejor esfuerzo mostrando los siguientes puntos base para que la historia este bien estructurada:


* La historia se centrara en el universo de Counter-Strike Nexon Zombies:


bueno... esto es quizas la cosa mas importante para tener de base en la historia de la futura campaña de Dead Scenes, y es que la historia de Dead Scenes tomara lugar en el universo de Counter-Strike Nexon Zombies, es importante aclarar que la historia de Dead Scenes no va a tener conexion directa con el lore de Nexon Zombies ni tampoco va a ser una continuacion de la misma. aqui dejare algunas imagenes de ejemplo para que se hagan una idea a lo que me quiero referir:


Oberon Dies in CS Online

Como pueden ver, derrotamos al Oberon en la temporada 1 del Zombie Scenario en CS Online:

Pero En CS Online 2, el oberon nunca fue derrotado y tenemos que derrotarlo una vez mas...

lo mismo pasa con los otros jefes, como por ejemplo la batalla contra Dion y Phobos... lo cual significa que la historia de los 2 juegos estan en el mismo universo, pero no tienen relacion alguna.


el lore de Dead Scenes estara en el mismo universo que el lore de Nexon Zombies pero en lugares y momentos diferentes, eso significa que las consecuencias de los experimentos pasados en Nexon Zombies como
"La Falla Con el Experimento de Los Supersoldados" va a tener consecuencias en la campaña de Dead Scenes, pero solo estara presente dicho evento canonico, no estaran personajes ni enemigos del Nexon Zombies
en la campaña de Dead Scenes, ni tampoco estaran presentes viejos jefes del Nexon Zombies, sino que seran enemigos totalmente nuevos para agregar mas contenido a la saga, (estaran disponibles los jefes del
anterior Zombie Scenario como el Oberon, pero eso solo sera en el modo survival) En el modo campaña tenemos ya en mente unos nuevos jefes y zombies que sin duda dejaran a mas de uno con dolores de cabeza!.


* Anteriormente, se tenia pensado que el lore de Dead Scenes este en el mismo universo que Half-Life:


tengo que admitir, ademas de counter-strike... soy un gran fan de la saga Half-Life, y un dia se me ocurrio hacer que la historia de Dead Scenes suceda en el mismo universo que Half-Life, lo cual cancele a
ultimo momento, ya que no tendria sentido un apocalipsis zombie que vino de la nada en medio de la guerra de las 7 horas haha, la trama original se centraria en que el protagonista de Dead Scenes (Frank)
sea intervenido por G-man para obtener un resultado "beneficioso para todos" en el actual apocalipsis zombie, lo cual... frank acepta, pero no sabe que el unico beneficio que quiere G-Man es complacer a sus superiores,
dejando a frank solo y traicionado al final de la historia original. y aunque tengo que admitir que la historia no va a estar centrada en el universo de Half-Life, si tengo que confirmar que "nuestro amigo en comun"
va a estar presente en el lore actual de Dead Scenes, ya que como bien saben algunos, G-Man tiene el poder de Intervenir en otros universos... (Corrijanme si me equivoco, pero Breen confirmo esta teoria haciendo referencia al Juego Cancelado de Valve Prospero En Half-Life 2). no voy a dar mas detalles para no arruinar la sorpresa cuando el momento llegue, pero jugara un papel muy importante en la trama del juego...


y esas serian todas las nuevas noticias acerca del proyecto!, crear este articulo me tomo varios dias para ser redactado :'3, pero todo este esfuerzo vale la pena para poder informarlos acerca del desarrollo!
estoy super emocionado por agregar al fin estas nuevas cosas al proyecto, y aunque sea un monton de trabajo por hacer... sigo super entusiasmado por que algun dia todo esto vea la luz. sin mas que decir me
despido, tengo que trabajar y hacer un monton de cosas para el futuro si quiero que esto tenga buenos resultados hehe, en fin... gracias por leer y espero verlos en un nuevo articulo de noticias!

oh cierto!!!!, las musicas!... pero no puedo contarles aun!, no en este articulo al menos, sino extenderiamos de manera inecesaria la pagina de MODDB HAHA, solo digamos... que por los momentos... estoy trabajando en una pista Drum And Bass (DnB) para el evento de apertura... y ya lo se, aunque algunas personas esten diciendo que en ningun momento se menciono el genero DnB como parte oficial del soundtrack del juego, lo estoy haciendo solo por hacer aun mas especial el evento de apertura, (dandole su propio genero musical) quizas en otro articulo publique algunas demos sobre el avance de las soundtracks pero por los momentos ahora si terminamos!...

I modify the weapon models, but the skills not yet and i use amx mod here editing the game's core (dlls)
