Armies of the West is an improvement submod for DaC, improving the Numenorean and some Elven units, as well as fix some errors in both scripts and models. In the future, there will be a port to MOS.

After a number of months of development and exploring obscure models and sounds, and exploring the use of EOP, the mod is almost ready for a release.

Here's the changelog as of now:

Changes:
Temple Units, Abrazanim, AA Armsmen, and Naru n'Aru units got a model overhaul (Chainmail for Abrazanim, Superior Chainmail for AA Armsmen and Naru n'Aru units, and Adunaim Plate for Temple units).
Wardens of the White Tower, Knights of the Silver Swan, Talon Knights, Arthedain Knights, Arthedain Royal Guard, Dunedain Steelbowmen, Citadel Guard, Arthedain Footmen, Cardolan Riders, and Cardolan Sentinels got visual upgrade changes.
Dunedain Armsmen, Blademasters, and Cavalry got their visual changes when entering the Arnor route.
Fountain Guard and Ithilien Rangers have their new models, courtesy of Gondor at War and Louis Lux's Dunedain Ranger model used in Gondor at War.
Sindar and Noldor weapons and armour UV fix (a persistent problem since v0.5).
New banners for Elven, Numenorean, and one Middle-men unit [Temple units have their own banner carriers (NO ORCS ALLOWED), Rhudaur bannermen will feature the Lindeferion logo in the mercenary category,
texture replacement for the Gondor and DA banners under ND command, High Elves of Lindon and Dunedain of Arnor will have the Earendil crest when their units are being commanded by respective factions,
and Fountain Guard will have the Livery of Elendil banner; HE, Lorien, and WR banners have new bannerpoles].
Citadel Guard, Wardens of the White Tower, and Talon Knights will have different officers from the Dismounted Bodyguards model, Fountain Guard will have the Numenorean Guardians model, Arthedain Knights and Cardolan Sentinels
will have the former battle model of the Arthedain Knights from TATW as officer.
Gondor swords have the leather covering on their grips.
Screaming Elves and women when routing.
Aragorn will get the Elendil battle-cry when activating his special ability, will have the Crown of Gondor ancillary if you choose the RK route.
Aragorn will have his default battle model made by Krekbel after reforging Narsil. Pre-reforging will have the edited version (a.k.a. using the Strider sword)
The House of Dol Amroth (Adrahil, Imrahil, Elphir, and Alphros) have their own models, but only Adrahil and Imrahil got implemented immediately. Elphir got his via script from Kilic Ali. Alphros spawns at Dol Amroth if you capture Umbar as the RK.
Lore-Accurate Fief-lords of Gondor other than Imrahil have their own uniquely-designed battle models, with two-handed versions always available.
Denethor's battle model gets an overhaul, with scabbard made from scratch, and face from L.A. Noire's Leland Monroe, with two-handed version available as well as the lore-accurate scabbard color. One-handed version features a shield.
Not lore-accurate fief lords will use LL's Belfalas General, Krekbel's Dunedain Ranger and bodyguards and Araphor model, and DCI:LA models, with only a few got the two-handed version.
Boromir and Faramir have their own two-handed battle models as the RK.
Eldarion has his own battle model, implemented via script.
Boromir's strat model as the RK will be replaced by the arnor_general strat model for Eldarion.
Eldarion will have the Silme and Writings of Isildur ancillaries, and the Half-Elven trait, implemented via script from Kilic Ali and Fynn, with ancillary and trait triggers as backup in case of a script misfire. Custom portrait implemented by EOP, and historic event for ND only.
Boromir and Imrahil will have the Stewards Seal and Key to the City ancillaries.
Hurin of the Keys will respawn with a custom battle model.
Arthedain Royal Guard horse number 2 (grey horse) UV fixed.
Gimilkhad, Gimilzor, and Gimilthon have their own battle models, with references to Shadow of Mordor in Gimilzor's model, and John Howe's Black Numenorean portrait for Gimilkhad.
Ancantar and Agandaur battle models got a model overhaul, with references to Shadow of Mordor and War in the North in the models, and Ancantar's portrait will have the AA background.
Rejecting the captured Dwarven Rings means war against Sauron, with Agandaur, Morholt, and Scyld receiving the rings.
Khamul will have his Shadowknights as Mordor.
NEW UNITS: Temple Guard, Adunaim Trebuchet, Peredhil Champions, Raven Helm Guardians, and the White Company.
RESURRECTED UNITS: Castamir's Chosen (Garrison unit only, appears in Arnorian and Gondorian lands, Lond Daer, Selected Elven territories, Ardumir, and Umbar itself, and will use the Gondor accent.)
AA will have both Northmen, Wildmen, and Haradrim garrison units, depending on location.
REMOVED UNITS: Amrothian Guardsmen and Amrothian Archers, and its place will be Faramir's White Company, Denethor's Raven Helm Guardians, and Eldarion's Peredhil Champions. Models of the removed unit will be used for both the Superior Chainmail upgrade for the Territorial Guardsmen and Gondor Archer Militia, and the base Chainmail for the Sea-ward Spearmen. UI will be repurposed for the Amrothian version of the Territorial Guardsmen and Gondor Archer Militia.
NEW ACCENTS: Numenorean, Adunaic, GondorGuards (for the Captain's bodyguard unit) and Wargs
RESURRECTED ACCENTS: Quenya (exclusive for Yavanna's Chosen)
NEW GENERALS: Beregond (spawns at Emyn Arnen, requires Faramir's survival to function), Alphros (spawns at Dol Amroth after capturing Umbar, requires Elphir's survival and the RK).
NEW ANCILLARIES: Crown of Gondor, House of Telcontar, Belfalas Sword, Descendant of Imrazor, Warden of Anorien, and Warden of Tyrn Gorthad to name a few.

Sworn Infantry will have the TATW Arnor Captain battle model as an officer.
Ancantar, Gimilkhad, and Gimilzor have their new strat models, their old versions were used for Dolguzagar (Weakend Mordor script) and the AA faction leader.
Gazlug was replaced with Dolguzagar for the Weakened Mordor script with Cesare Borgia as both portrait and face of the battle model, doesn't make sense why Adunaim Cultists allow an orc to lead them.
The title of Ranger-Captain for the Northern Dunedain was replaced with of Crown Prince, as a reflection of either the RK or Arnor choice, and to differentiate with the ruling Princes of Ithilien and Dol Amroth.
The no pauldron version of the Gondor Infantry model, a.k.a. the swordsmen_ug1 model, is now used by the Gondor Defenders.
The PJ shield design is now used by the mainline Gondor units (sans Osgiliath Veterans). Old shield design is now used by the Gondor Defenders.
Vambraces used by mainline Gondor units changed to Osgiliath Veterans standard, as the real photos of Gondor Infantry actually depicts.
The AA faction leader and heir can change their battle models at will after assuming the title, with script from Ishan and restrictions to labelled characters with custom battle models.
AA faction heir will use the modified Atarn model from theCoweringComa and BillBaraka when the script from Ishan triggers.
Guards of Osgiliath, Citadel Guard, Wardens of the White Tower, Gondor Infantry, Goncor Cavalry, Gondor Archers, Gondor Defenders, White Company, and Gondor Spearmen will use the DVO/Gondor at War battle models from Leryniam, theCoweringComa, John_M of KoA, and Krekbel; Taro_M 's models will be used by the rest.
Talon Knights nerfed to 11 attack, Citadel Guard buffed to 16 armor and Wardens of the White Tower buffed to 12 attack, 17 armor on the account of their mithril helmets, and Arthedain Knights buffed to 13 attack and 10 defense skill to compensate for their low numbers (being 114 kinghts per cohort after all), and 17 armor on the account that their armor's dwarven made with Numenorean pattern and design.
Grey Company armor buffed from 10 to 16, to align with other elites like Arthedain Knights and Wardens of the White Tower. The v4.6 Arnorian Plate battle model version was replaced with Krekbel's Arnor Knights model.
NEW SPECIAL ABILITY: TOL ACHARN (Exclusive to Eldarion)
Corsair Invasion generals got their custom battle models, courtesy of Theodron from the Blood of Numenor mod (used in v4.6), Valve's G-Man, L.A. Noire's Roy Earle, and Pope Alexander VI from AC Brotherhood.
AA Last Stand Army general got his custom battle model, with head from Niccolo Machiavelli in AC Brotherhood (with retextured hair) and body from Theodron's Blood of Numenor mod, along with a custom portrait.
Sworn Infantry changed from archer and swordsman unit to archer and axeman unit, and Sworn Horsemen changed to lance and axe unit. Armor reduced to 7 for Sworn Horsemen.
Dunedain Wardens armor buffed to 8, Dunedain Cavalry secondary attack buffed to 8, and its armor, alongside Dunedain Armsmen, buffed to 12, to align with the Dunedain Blademasters in terms of armor.
Cardolan Sentinels got their body piercing arrows, and Arthedain Footmen defense skill increased to 5.
Fixed the BMDB entry error for the new_gondor_units militia entries (Galu effed it up, see his Gondor overview for DaC v4 at 28:53-28:56).

Fixed some text and script issues.
Backup, EBII Javlin, and KD Script skip versions included.
