The Apocalypse mod adds over 180 new units, structures and super weapons to the original RA2YR and will give you a completely new RA2YR experience while keeping the classic feeling alive. The mod does not require other resources to run except the original RA2YR game v1.001. This is what the mod adds in general: 64 new structures, 40 new infantry units, 17 new naval units, 20 new air units, 41 new vehicles.

This topic will have the weekly progress report for the new version of the mod.

News will also be posted, but the general progress will be updated here (on this one, no new threads).

Week 06 progress report: Infantry 100% complete !

Week 07 progress report:

Support structures are100% complete !

Soviet Navy is 100% complete (done 1st because it was the easiest to implement), Allied is nearly complete as well.

Week 08 progress report: Naval forces complete for all sides.

Balance and AI for the Naval part is partially done.

Week 09 progress report: Air units are a work in progress, about half done.

Total progress is 47%, for some reason progress pic does not work.

Hopefully, starting with next week I will start working on the ground units.

Week 11 progress report: work has started on ground vehicle units, beginning with the top tier ones.

Hopefully those will be finished in under a month.

After ground unit completion, there will be focus on completing the rest of structures, tech-specific stuff. Single player will be left for the final part, as I will try to make some new nice surprises there.

Week 12 progress report: vehicle work went better than initially estimated; top tier vehicles are complete for all 3 sides.

Week 13 progress report: this was a good week also, a lot of progress. Vehicles are done for all sides, leaving only the stolen tech ones to be added.

I do intent to show more in-game stuff and I also want to put up a full skirmish video for each side (this will take some video recording setting up 1st).

Next I will probably go on finishing the defense structures, since those are not that hard to do and I'll be on summer leave for at least a couple of weeks.

Week 14 progress report: As said, defensive structures are mostly done, the advanced AAs have been added for all sides. Now it's to be decided if there will be a build limit for them.

I think you shouldn't add build limit, with no build limit you can build advanced Base defences and make your bases almost impenetrable.

@lukascijunskis29- I've made a poll to see what players want in that regard.

Week 15 progress report: many main things are nearly complete. I will probably have to focus on single player and AI next. Current overall progress is 63%.

Week 16 progress report: single player work has started. This proves more time-consuming than anticipated but it's on the right path.

Week 17 progress report: various things are getting completed, while the single player part is actively worked upon.

Week 18 progress report: single player progress is low due to the complexity of the scripts involved. Many small things have been adjusted and minor general known issues fixed.

Week 19 progress report: 1st pass through Allied single player campaign is done. Not all planned improvements have been yet implemented but it's functional and has a few surprises along the way. Next I'll start working on the Soviet campaign. After that one is done (and I also put up a few MP modes) I will probably release a beta version of the mod, since both SP and MP will be functional.

Week 20 progress report: I had very few time to work this week and I'm still away for a few more days. There's progress still. The focus will continue to be single player.

Week 21 progress report: Single player is now playable with both factions, with some nice improvements and surprises added along the way. I intent to do some more testing of it, then I can consider that everything is stabile enough to release a beta.

Week 22 progress report: Single player is fully functional. I did not add yet everything I wanted but it's uite good as it is and will certainly give you a great experience. Progress is now at 84%. I'm thinking on testing SP on hard and then releasing a beta version.

Week 23 progress report: I'm in heavy testing phase trying to eliminate anything abnormal or that can lead to unforeseen stuff.
