Stranglehold is the sequel to Woo's 1992 Hong Kong action film, Hard Boiled, and stars Chow Yun-fat in a reprisal of his role as hard-boiled cop Inspector "Tequila" Yuen. Game allows you to fire in Tequila mode, which slows down time to avoid bullets and take more care with your shots.

Stranglehold takes place many years after Hard Boiled, though Yun-Fat's Inspector Tequila doesn't seem to have lost his touch. This game is okay if you want something similar to Max Payne and environmental destruction, but other than that it's a pretty lackluster game with an unoriginal story and terrible dialog in parts. It's best played before the Max Payne games since it's mediocre in comparison not including the third bastardization of a MP game.
