An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.
GUESS WHO'S BACK!
Just a little reminder of what exactly I do on the team ;)
Thank Galgus for this track, as he asked me to look through my archive of songs - and I discovered this little gem along the way. It was originally supposed to be revealed in the first release, though that's been delayed several times since and got lost in my backups when I wiped my hard drive.
It's the Confederate "First Contact" track - the one that plays when you first attack an enemy, or they first attack you. Once upon a time, we had a map-based music system going, and it actually worked in-game. However, it appears that some determined modders have cracked the secrets to EALayer3 compression, which has a chance of helping us with pathmusic. Either way, it's exciting stuff!
Enjoy!
great! extremely great!
Hey Chris!
Nice to see your still writing tracks ^.^
I have a question about the Paradox album - it appears not all of the tracks currently up here were made avalible though the soundtrack. These include all the Atomic Kingdom's songs and various remixes like the main theme and Act on Conviction.
The album is awesome, but I can't help but note that these tracks were missing. Were they done by another artist who decided not to make them avalible? Did you lose the original MP3 files? What happened?
Anyways, thank you for responding (if you do) and I hope the rest of your work goes smoothly. Keep up with the good music!

Well, the remixes might be off because they're based on other works, and unlike here on Moddb where they're put up for fun, on the album Team Paradox is actually receiving money for it, which changes the rules.
Which explains some of it, but then what about things like the Atomic Kingdom's soundtrack?
My guess would be that they might have scrapped those, as the Atomic Kingdom has gone through several major design changes since they were recorded. They started out as Flash Gordon-like, then they turned to be like Star Trek, and now they're all space elevators and teleporting troops.
I suppose that could also lead to an explination, however I also keep in mind the Protectorate also had a number of design changes reflected in their music as well - compare the tracks "War Machine" (included on the album) to "Binary Rebellion" (their most recent track, also included on the album).
Both "War Machine" and "Binary Rebellion" were requested to be included on the album by FuzzyLemon. Any other songs not included generally fall into the categories: "Not up to standards/doesn't fit new direction", "A newer version is in the works (and likely won't be released until much later)", and "Potentially infringing copyright".
About sounds right ^.^
Which is a shame really, I thought the Atomic Kingdom soundtrack was up to snuff...unless there's some newer material on the way for them in the near future of course =^.^=
yaay Im glad the Team is getting money! Mabey it'll get our next realese a little bit closer :)
new music YEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYY!
AMAZING
Awesome.
Why does everything cool happen while I'm at school? This is a excellent track none the less. You said you lost this?
The songs too close to others that have been copywrited (Act on conviction for example) could not be included so people could buy the track.
Response to Sir Shockwave
Great; I sense RA2, and something new in there. Good combo!
Superb! The mixture of RA-like rock and American folk music fits the Confederates perfectly. How the hell did you guys nail it down so well?
I'll admit to not being excited by the first few seconds (sounds like something out of Guitar Hero), but the banjo kicked in, and the whole thing was amazing.
That is the guitar bit that tells you that some good ol' American butt kickin' is comin' up!
Good to hear about getting music in the game! It's some of my favourite music OF ALL TIME! (YOU ROCK FERRIS!)
It's even better to hear this song, great job guys!
Hey, Fuzzy Lemon rocks too, even if he didn't make this song.
Yes, indeed he does! I just prefer the music Ferris makes, that's all.
Totally awesome!
The news about possibilities for an easier way of getting music into RA3 sounds great- I can't wait to hear the Confederate music in-game.
(I currently make do with looping Rebel Battle. And minimizing the game to play Manifest Destiny when I win.)
I look forward to hearing this when rushing!
(Sorry for triple post, I would edit it into one if I could.)
I really like the track, but it seems to cut off kind of strangely at the end, like there is about one to three more notes to play but it instead trails off in an odd way.
That's probably because it's designed to smoothly go to the next track. If I can trust my own ears, I hear this a lot with contact music, in many games.
Pretty much... It's supposed to transition to Rebel Battle, which starts with drums only. From what I understand the game crossfades it rather than an abrupt jump from song to song, so the result is the drums slowly fading in as the guitar fades out.
Gah!! 4 posts in a row!! Pity Apple hate making stuff compatible so I can't comment on the song yet... :(
If I could have edited it into one post, I would have.
great :P song (to bad we cant have them in game)
That means we only get to hear this track once a game :(
Sounds folksy and menacing at the same time... perfect first contact music.
I think it matches because of the heroic feel to it.
I seem to be seeing quad, because RACOONS ARE INVADING EARTH!!!!!
(sorry, couldnt resist)
Nice
Wait. There's an album? Where can I find it?
Chrisferes.bandcamp.com
this music wins. I listen to this while playing SC2 instead of the actual music :D
I like this much better than the Victor Charlie!
Feels like Ace Combat 2:Confed version!
Wait, pathmusic is possible? Does that mean that the older tracks will go back to their original purposes?
HOLY SCHINET!!!! WELCOME BACK GOOD SIR :D
