For Operation "Fleshing Out Restricted Corridors Competition", entrants were challenged with fleshing out restricted or otherwise inaccessible rooms, roads, and corridors from the Half-Life series and beyond.
This is a Source mod that uses Mapbase and Source 2013 Singleplayer SDK. To install, place the "operation_forcc" and "mapbase" folders inside your "sourcemods" folder which can be found under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods" if you are using the default Steam install path. Adjust as necessary.
Then you need to make sure you have installed "Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer" under the tools section of your steam library, then you also need to make sure that you have set it to the "upcoming" beta. You can do this via right clicking on the SDK, selecting "Properties", then "Betas" and lastly selecting "upcoming".
Le epique
I loved this map, it's literally a boomer shooter but in the source engine
Vendetta - interesting gameplay even though could be very frustrating.
Calaubi Yau Model - I really like atmosphere there. Especially post gate part.
Owen_A - nice one.
FLUME - another compelling one.
Advice - pretty shity. What's good in spending 10 minutes shooting same fixed target while trying not to die?
Dr. Freeman, I Presume? - very good one, I enjoyed it.
MS20 - meh. I expected more.
Cold Hard Steele 3.1 - nothing like a boomer shooter experience.
''WE DON'T GO TO ST.OLGA'' - well, the title didn't lie. We didn't go to St. Olga.
End of Shift - nice look at this part of lore.
Entropy: John - can't tell much about that. It's OK.
The Prodigy - wouldn't say it was exactly about "restricted" or "inaccessible", basicly the whole original map was used, but it was good nonetheless.
A Trip Through C17 - I kinda expected more from it. And I get basicly unfinished maps.
Alternative Route - definitely one of the better maps there.
Siege at the Office - wasn't that supposed to have not just style, but some of layout too?
Conclusion: I didn't enjoy this TT as usually. Like competitors couldn't deliver enough. But I think the one who did the best job overall is "Dr. Freeman, I Presume?". "The Prodigy" is good too, but used too much of original map (all of it tbh). Worst one - "Advice".
Biggest downside of the whole "operation" - too many canals maps. That gives you a feeling of unoriginality.
I hope there would be non-combat competition in future.
