Minor update, adds some new test versions of units, adds test model for the HQ, adjusts build order and build menu arrangement for Pariah Race, Adds test version of Lychguard to Necron Race in place of their existing Necron Pariah unit. and allows Pariahs to convert enemy dead for harvesting.
A Minor update which adds some new units I'm testing,
adds a test model for the Pariah HQ, adjusts build order and build menu arrangement for Pariah Race to work a little more nicely, Adds test version of Lychguard to Necron Race in place of their existing Necron Pariah unit. Carrion Cranes (accidentally miss-spelled Carion Cranes in this version) now allow the Pariahs to convert enemy dead for harvesting.
New / altered : Units, Structures, etc. (since the previous version)
Raven Synch now immediately becomes a Fyrd Raven when built (if it's health is high enough)
the Fyrd Raven returns there when damaged so only 0.3 of it's health remains.
Carrion Crane [New Unit] : a modified wraith with a significant bird motif, stalks the battlefield stealthed in order to prepare corpses for use by a Fyrd Raven (can attach to the Fyrd raven and other Squads),
Carrion Crane melee mode [New Unit] : Carrion Crane can enter a melee mode to attack unsuspecting troops, but looses it's stealth capabilities while doing so.
Lodge House now increases Squad cap like it was supposed to (now increases squad cap by 2), lodge house now ejects a civilian occasionally (for now the Civilian does nothing except follow some of your troops around the map, I'm planning something more useful and interesting for it in later versions)
listening post now adds less squad cap (1 rather than 3)
Fyrd King can now produce Necron Beacons (not properly implemented yet but nearly) (beacons now float off the ground as air units)
Inactive Monolith (generator) now has a new test model (doesn't do much yet)
Nexus Hq : New test model mostly implemented, (some fx not yet replaced, slight error with some fx when build, but left it in for this version because it looks kind of cool and because I might keep it to use for a later tier HQ upgrade) Production speed of every Nexus HQ now spikes for a few seconds each time an Initiate or Convert Squad is completed.
(I will try and get around to updating some of the Pariah models (and the listening post) to the newer versions from a while ago that I didn't get around to exporting/testing yet, maybe expect some of those for the next version)
(half-assed new version of Phonixian rebirth is also sort of implemented, (I'm not sure if it was in the last version or not now, but clicking once for each member in the squad will make them heal fast in exchange for giving them less health for a while, it's hopefully good if you retreated using the Pariah's necron summoning before the squad was too damaged, once they're healed they can teleport back in and rejoin the battle)(I'm hoping to get this working better eventually so it works properly on the whole squad with one click, but for now it's fine since the pariah squads using it haven't got many members anyway))
(converts might not be able to reinforce in this version, I noticed something odd where they were showing -3 members available but didn't get around to checking it yet, either way it doesn't really matter at this stage, I might have them need a leader to reinforce in the next version anyway)
Initiates now need a Convert as their squad leader to be able to reinforce, Each Lodge House now reduces the cost and time required to make a squad of Initiates.
By the way sorry to anyone waiting for my slow progress on these mods 😅, I know I made better versions of some of the models here or showed other units in screenshots, etc. in the past or mentioned other stuff in other unreleased versions, but this attempt is getting gradually closer to having those things implemented at last, I just need to try and avoid being too bogged down too soon, hence the little updates, so it isn't ending up as another discarded mess lying around full of unusable half done troops. (eventually, in a version or too everything currently here should be mostly ready to use and I'll have started on or semi-finished a lot more of the rest)
So my dear friend I love what you have done to this considering how bogged down you are.
I love your ideas of the stuctures, the silent monolith looks cool. The king has a speech loop which puts me off spawning him. I love you work please keep up with the ideas :)
Thanks for the support my friend 🙂 (I'm hoping to have another mini update for this and for the dark crusade mod ready to upload soon with a few more units added to each, next time this one's hopefully getting 'Necron Inheritors', 'Fyrd Liege' (secondary commander) and that 'Liberator' aircraft type thing from a while ago, 😅 and I'll hopefully update the listening post to the animated version of model at last)
By the way, I'll see about replacing the Fyrd King's voice later (and also removing the chaos lord dialogue bytes left in the models .whe), maybe in the next update (if I can get audio editor to work without crashing) (I actually made some new dialogue for him myself a while ago, but it needs adjusting to mimic Macabee's voice effects a little more closely, I have a few ideas for something else I might do instead/as well though depending what sounds better in the end)
