After the death of Alexander the Great the empire he had created tottered and fell into disarray with remarkable speed. His empire was the largest ever seen, and the generals struggled against each other for the ultimate prize of being the new Alexander. Something that none of them was quite strong enough to attain. The Diadochi, or Successors, were only strong enough to hold together fragments of Alexander’s empire.
Thrace was once part of this empire, it was invaded and fell under control of Alexanders father Philip II but was never fully Hellenised and it’s people have maintained much of their way of life and barbarian culture.
Welcome to Version 1.3. I have had some free time on my hands and have decided to whip out GIMP and Visual Studio to piece together a new patch for Illyria Reborn. While i have been rather happy with the way Illyria Reborn has turned out, a few things have always bothered me with the project but due to time constraint originaly had to be left as they are.
Version 1.3 is a huge quality of life update for Illyria Reborn. Thrace has had a complete redesign of it's art for version 1.3 replacing the older faction symbols and banners to give the faction a more unique feel. This patch also adds brand new sprites for the unit models, this adds a major boost to the mods quality and will also help with any performance issues.
Version 1.3 is it's on build, Version 1.1 and Version 1.2 are no longer required and are now deprecated. Version 1.2 is also included in Version 1.3 Patches notes for Version 1.3 can be found at the bottom of this page.
