I was wondering, what are some of your favorite levels / maps / dungeons you have seen and loved in the past. Because of something that happens there, because its well designed or beautifully detailed. Things you loved as both a designer and as a player. |

I may need to post here couple times to post all of my favorite levels Anyways, here are some: 1. Contra Hardcorps : Ship-road level. This level is filled with 3 subbosses and 3 boss fights. It was intense, challenging and fun too. Even better, this level is the path to best ending of the game 2. Contra 3 : The Alien Wars : Stage 4. This level has the best music of the game and also the most intense action. It starts with bike ride for more than half time of the level before finally hanging on missiles I'll post again when I could remember more |

Ah I remember one level from Shove It!, sokoban game, which is very memorable: Like any Sokoban games, Shove It has many challenging levels including this one but this one is easily memorable cause of its simple design. Yep, just 8 boxes and 8 spots, but it requires more than 8 tries if you don't know how This kind of simplicity inspires me (as level designer) to make challenging yet simply levels |

The mountains of Freedom in Ultima 7 Part 2. While not technically a "level", it was brilliantly designed. |

AVP2: Playing as marine and getting chased by the predator after escaping the star finder ship - that was one tight rush down hill to the APC -- One of the worst annoyances of video gaming is designers who interrupt the players' immersion in order to remind them "Don't forget, it's only a game!"These cute gimmicks don't improve the players' experience; they harm it. |

Halo CE: The Silent Cartographer. Nice battles, plenty of freedom, you're exploring this island and uncovering it's secrets; blasting and driving through aliens every step of the way. -- Working on Reversion, a single-player Half-Life 2 campaign. Happy to offer help on Source projects! |

God of War and Metal Gear Solid series hands down. GoW level design along with its puzzles and revisiting of previous unlockable levels are just incredible along with MGS where the levels are designed to bring out your stealth tactics to the max |

The most interesting ones are the ones you don't do it by yourself, what I mean to say is multyplayer/ones that your friends can help are the most interesting ones! |

Off the top of my head: NOLF: the level where you jump out of the 747... Really kool Duke Nukem 3D: Red Light District, XXX Stacy, and (most) of episode 3... Not "levels" really, but Hellena Prison and Diaz's Palace from Legend of Dragoon are really fun to play through. Also, Necropolis from Quake: because someone at id decided to place the grenade launcher at the start, Edited by: curseofnight -- Currently Playing: Alpha Protocol, F.E.A.R., VtM: Bloodlines |

From my recent experience, I really liked Ashina Castle's level design in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. As in general, I remember Talos Principle, Portal series, Braid to have exceptionally great levels, and Arkham and Souls series to have super well-designed worlds. Also that Pripyat level from Modern Warfare made its mark in my memory |

I have a couple maps which I love because of their design or the soundtrack that comes with them: Doom - E1M5 (Phobos Lab) Doom 2 - M2 (Underhalls) and M13 (Downtown, which looks better with Brutal Doom's Map Enhancement Script) Duke Nukem - E1M1 (Hollywood Holocaust) and E3M3 (Flood Zone, which is my most favorite) Blood - E2M1 (I need a bigger boat) and E2M2 (In my opinion, the secrets are easy to find) Strikers 1945 II - The first 4 levels (Goliath, Graf Zeppelin, Iron Casket and Syumi Type-01 as the bosses) Powerslave - M9 (Aswan) Edit: I forgot about the Syumi Type-01 boss fight in Strikers 1945 II.
