This is my first mod for Empire Total War.

I felt like the vanilla garrisons were a joke and wanted to improve them, albeit with Empire limitations. You won't find Attila's style garrisons here but they have been improved nonetheless.

-The garrisons system is basically a new unit roster using only vanilla units (for the main release at least).

-I built my rosters around three main level : global, regional and capitals.

-Global rosters are the weaker ones and available as garrisons globally.

-Regional rosters are available according to regions (India for Maratha, Middle East for Ottomans). They are stronger in the home region and weaker in colonial regions. For instance you have Hindu Musketeers as garrison in India as Maratha but not in Europe.

-Capital rosters are unique to one city. They include elite units and mortars. I have not been able to ensure that mortars spawn every time as I do not understand if this is possible.

-All DLC units cannot be made to work as garrison unit. They crash my game during battle loading screen so I had to remove them from my mod.


-I unlocked vanilla units : Clansmen for the UK (added new recruitment bulding) but if Scotland is too much developed you can't recruit them. Mountain Troops in Norway for Sweden (tweaked recruitment building). Miquelets for Spain in Portugal. Still needs to be tested though.

-As I just added new units it should be compatible with other mods except mods that modify garrisons. It is intended to be used with Vanilla Empire or added to your own custom mod list. I don't know if it works as intended with larger modifications.

ON THE NEW MAJOR UPDATE FOR THE AIO PACKS


Originally, I wanted to make a vanilla garrison mod and optional packs with units from other mods. Sadly this was not very practical and decided to release my mod as an AIO. From now on there will be vanilla units and units from SwissHalberdier's mod and Adrian74's mod.


This means that my mod now adds garrisons but on top of that it also adds new many new units for every factions.


As of the new AIO Release there are two versions.


-The LITE version should be compatible with every mod (except other garrison mods or mods that have their own garrison system) This version does not make any change to the unit rosters and no custom units will spawn as garrison units. (AUM and Adrian's booster packs are thus not included in this version)

-The FULL version is more accurate but not compatible with any mod that edit the startpos.esf. In order for my mod to be compatible one would have to add the changes I made in the region_resources table, in the resource array in startpos.esf (with an esf editor) and in the UPC (localisation) file.

With the new AIO release I added my selection of vanilla balanced units from the very popular Additional Unit Mod by SwissHalberdier and the booster packs from Adrian74. (FULL VERSION ONLY)

I also cleaned the UPC file of duplicates and it includes new lines for a project I am working on.


[Installation]

Put files from folder 1 in : Your HDD \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Empire Total War\data
(Choose the correct one ! ONLY ONE not the two files !)

Put files from folder 2 in : Your HDD \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Empire Total War\data\campaigns\main and overwrite. (ONLY FOR THE FULL VERSION / THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY FILE IN 2 FOR THE LITE VERSION)

Put files from folder 3 in : C:\Users\ [your username] \AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts

-Most of my mod is just a collection of units from SwissHalberdier's mod and Adrian74's mod. If you want to use their units you should ask them instead.

-As for my personal work feel free to use it and if you remember to credit my name I'll be glad but it is not necessary at all. My work is for the community.

-I reiterates my thanks to Swiss Halberdier and Adrian74 for their wonderful unit packs. I asked for permission to include them in my mod but I have not received any answers and they seem to have been inactive for quite some time. If they don't agree with me using their units just PM me and I will change my mod accordingly.

The previous two versions are now unsupported.

Fixed some bugs that could lead to CTD because of DLC garrison units.

How do you mod garrisons in Empire total war, always wanted to lower some garrisons in certain mods but don't know how?

i'm begging you, please napoleon total total war vanilla will fix the units of the small states, especially the units of the crimean khanate, please make a mode that will fix the units of the crimean khanate vanilla, because the crimean units look like Russians. whereas the Crimean khanate was an Ottoman vassal state, please
