Origin
This goldsource mod started as my very first modding experience back in 2021, which is also the first time ever I'm learning C++. It started as a test bench for anything I tried to create. Some people playtested it and jokingly said what if i would publish it, then i'm thinking, why not?!.
Over The Years
For the past 3+ years, I've been adding some stuff I've found online. It started as a simple fork of Spirinity, then began adding some more stuff from HLFX, and more, and more.
Then I realized my biggest mistake, the mod started to feel really slow, and laggy. I decided to rewrite everything, picked a more fresh Spirinity fork, and began working day and night.
Story
To be completely honest with you, the story is currently undergoing a complete redesign, including our character itself. Now you may ask, why does it have the name borea in it, is it a HL3 / Epistle 3 related mod? in short, yes. However it will not revolve around our beloved protagonist. It will be a complete new story, and i won't spoil it for you!

pretty underrated feature, should be in more mods!
ADS
i’d say, this one is pretty overrated, however, its nice to have it in
Wallrunning
what is this, TitanFall??
Pseudo-Physics
fake it until you made it they said, so i did
Water Particles
this one is pretty common, however i’ve improved my design more
Dynamic Sky
this one is pretty rare, however, i decided to implemented it, it generates in real time via a glsl shader so i can adjust however i want, making a level far more dynamic
Interactive Grass
started as a POC, but actually works in practice, so i decided to keep it in
Projective Textures
to be honest, this feature already comes default by trinity, i ramped up the resolution, added some blurring and blooming, and now look at that!
Theres much much more i would like to recover, such as PBR, ambient occlusion, and some more and it would not be proper to be talked right now, maybe in another time
Mod’s status
It is true that for the past years i’ve been working on this mod on myself, however recently, i’ve gained several people that would like to help me in. So now i got a quite little team.
However, due to my studies, im currently undergoing a medical school at my country. The progress might not be significant, and most of the time you wont be able to see me around. To avoid the mod getting trashed somewhere lost, i’ve shared the mod to several trusted people, including the code and assets. If i ever began stopped working on it, the mod’s assets would be released to the public.
Thats pretty much what i can give in this article, the next article might or might not take months or even years to publish, however, if you wanna ask me something, feel free to join the TWHL discord, i spent most of my free time there, its a pretty cozy space.
