IMPORTING A MODEL INTO WC3
For this 11 step tutorial, we'll be loading a Zergling model from the "wvs-art-pack.zip". You can use the process demonstrated here to load other artwork.
Pre-step 1: Unzip the "wvs-art-pack.zip"
Pre-step 2: Open World Edit
Step 1: Open "Import Manager" (F12 key)
Step 2: Right-click > "Import File..."
Step 3: Import the Zergling's .mdx. (what is an mdx)
Step 4: The model's mesh is now imported.
Step 5: Right-click > "Modify File Properties"
Step 6: Remove the "war3imported\" path. (why)
Step 7: Import the rest of the files in the Zergling's folder, removing the "war3Imported\" path from each imported file. (why)
Step 8: **Save, exit, and re-open World Editor** (why). Open the Object Editor (F6 key).
Step 9: Go to the Peasant, and open the field, "Art - Model File".
Step 10: Change the model to "wvs-zergling-model-merged.mdx".
Step 11: Right-click > "Select In Tool Palette", and place the unit onto the map.
PROBLEM: The model appears as a green box when loading the map.
SOLUTION 1: Make sure all of the "war3imported\" paths are removed, and make sure the .blp texture files are not misspelled from their original names.
SOLUTION 2: Open the model .mdx file with Notepad...
... and make sure all of the .blp's listed have been imported into the map.
Problem with Images:
"You are not authorized to view this page

Please try the following:

* Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 403.
* Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled About Security, Limiting Access by IP Address, IP Address Access Restrictions, and About Custom Error Messages."
And for me they have to be in my wc3 directory whether or not I remove "War3Imported\"
Hm, guess it was just my IP address.
