steam is my most predominant but ill use MSN just to catch up with someone
seeing as most people i know (face to face) don't know what steam is let alone what a mod is
Xfire all the way, its the most advanced for PC gaming an you can record videos in game, chat from game, surf the web, and all kinds of cool things. I don't see how only 11% or moddb users use it? It baffles my mind!
I don't think its only 11% that uses Xfire.. Though, more people like me.. using Windows Live Messenger(MSN), Steam, Skype, Xfire and so on. Not that easy to chose with program I like the most..
I use pidgin, and almost all associated services, MSN, google, AIM, IRC, My Space, Facebook, yahoo and so many more =] Just too bad skype isnt integrated yet...
Use to integrate services with Trillian, then move to Pidgin on my linux machine, but ultimately, I always use MSN, except for large conversations, which have used various chat programs such as Skype.
I would say this is IRC. After all it's the only real chat system around and an early one too. Beats the other crap hands down if you really need a chat. That said I use it rarely. E-Mail and Forums are way better since you can well-form your posts and have meaningful discussions in contrary to the smiley and one-word hell of chats.
Good point. It's though not a chat to be precise. People often confuse ICQ/MSN/XMPP(Jabber) with chating which it is not. It's "Instant Messaging" which is not equal to chatting. Though "Conference Mode" in Jabber is again a chat while Jabber itself is not :P

Same issue here. Most rl friends use msn, net friends use steam. :P
Yup so true. (same for me)
Same, But i find steam be better since Msn have made so many not nessesary addons/updates.
Steam is pure and simple :)
For me msn make all source games lag so i dont use that too often. But when i see an old friend olnline i talk.
If u use the "first" version it should not be a problem, For me (lol), the first version made it some how more smooth when i played source games...
Don't know why, but it worked many times.
I use MSN through Adium (mac program =O).
MSN since v1... **** that seems along time ago
Remembered how it used to only take two minutes to download on dialup?
skype4life
4sure
skype ftw! needs an addon system though...
Wave.

Xfire.com

xFire lagged me really badly in some games, so I ended up deleting it.
Otherwise, it's an awesome program.
I use other. AQQ, often Steam and sometimes Skype.
Xfire
I like IRC the best.
But forced to use MSN as all my friends do.
Steam, because it is the only place people dont care if they are encountering a pig with a baton or not in a game.
Also, GAMES!!
Msn. I am too lazy to turn my steam on.
xfire because also msn is integrated now
MSN for ever. I can talk with my cousins and my friends no matter where they are!
Steam is also very good , but I can't write Greek and many times I need to exit the platform to change the language...
Are u sure? So far (what i have seen) all letters are enable to use on steam, even those that u cant create via combine keys.
I use pidgin, and almost all associated services, MSN, google, AIM, IRC, My Space, Facebook, yahoo and so many more =] Just too bad skype isnt integrated yet...
STEAM FTW
Use to integrate services with Trillian, then move to Pidgin on my linux machine, but ultimately, I always use MSN, except for large conversations, which have used various chat programs such as Skype.
xfire4life
Skype :P
MSN so I can send silly creatures and faces. :p
I mostly use MSN, however I use Steam and XFire when it comes to chatting in game. I also rarely use YIM and Skype.
In my country everyone uses Skype.
ventrilo
no icq or xmpp? o_O
I use ICQ and it's mobile equivalent.
Oh yes... and I also prefer eye to eye (aka real life) communication.
Gtalk for me usually. Skype for my friends in Europe.
I use mostly Xfire, but also Msn and Steam.
Skype and Steam FTW
Teamspeak and ICQ mostly

skype
Steam 95% of the time. The other 5% is split between the ocasional Skype or MSN chat.
IRC for game related stuff, MSN for real related stuff.
I use ICQ, MSN and Skype through Trillian...
definitely digsby
Where's Jabber on that list?

I use Trillian so all three, making it other.
What about 'None'? They all suck imho. :3
