For 4 years now, i have been using ModdB for everything, mods and indies. I don't want it to change. I just got used to it.

I believe ModDB should focus on mods only. Otherwise, what's the point of IndieDB? Mixed content in one site kind of makes the other site(s) unnecessary. Either you will combine all three sites (mod/indie/slide) in one site (GamesDB, for example) or make a fourth site, which will include content from all three sites (CentralDB). Another idea would be to add an IndieDB and SlideDB button (or a big INDIES and PHONEAPPS button) on ModDB's front page, so someone could easily click on them and get re-directed there quickly.

That's an opinion from someone who only browses mods though. Would be nice to see what others believe.

I think we should be able to choose what content we want. I mean, maybe a default to what the site is right now (Seeing everything here) while not logged in, and then be able to select what to see on ModDB if logged in, in our profile.

Said that, I discovered good indie games thanks to seeing it on ModDB, as I tend to only use this site for everything, and I understand it's the main boat on the DBolical network.
Maybe a good middleground would be a kind of GET var on the URL to tell the engine we are only interested on seeing mods, like "?mods as that could also save us the trouble to login when we are tight on time.

Whatever you guys choose will be good for me, but ¡thanks for asking!

I have been using moddb 2006 and seen it grow and I like to see the new game's showing up here at moddb, and I like to see moddb being the portal to the rest like indiedb, slidedb and desura. But the idea Thanoshld got is also a great one.

Hell no. Having to always change between sites would be a huge inconvenience. I track the development of both mods and games, I would like to continue doing so simultaneously like I've done for 8 years (since 2008, created profile in 2009).

I only login on IndieDB to vote for IOTY, that means only once a year.

ModDB was the first site. That turned it into the main one. I think that creating another one for the purpose of everything (and making ModDB only mods) would be a bad idea.

If you want, make some kind of filter for the people that only want mods, so that it removes everything game-related from the pages for them. But for the sake of convenience, don't split the content, it's a terrible idea.

I've kind of gotten use to Moddb being my central hub for almost all things game-related. I find so many new games here it's ridiculous. Why inconvenience someone like me (Whom I'm sure there are lots of others) by forcing me to have to go through several sites?

It's not like IndieDB is any different, you can still access mods from there. The whole point of the different sites is to be more of an appealing hub for specific things, and all you need to do that is just put the right labels on everything which IndieDB, SideDB, and VRDB do and do quite well. The main Desura website, IndieDB, and others, just don't have a UI I'm use to as well so I'd rather not switch. I dunno, maybe I'm sounding selfish here but I think I've made some good points.
