Awesome new feature, will click to support you (275 votes)
You should just sell games directly instead of linking to other stores (138 votes)
We recently launched a new feature to display prices in game profiles: Indiedb.com - in the hopes of supporting game developers, whilst not adding another store for people to consider. What does everyone think?
Getting both links to potential buy sites (so everyone can choose their favorite) as well as getting a price comparison is quite the cool feature. No need to start selling games here, just give gamers the option to choose from a list with prices, so it helps both developer getting money, and gamers finding cheaper alternatives. The updated time is also a neat add-on.
What I would recommend is adding option to change prices to other currencies. I would love to see what they are in my local currency.
We are looking at localizing the currency, it's complex due to the APIs we connect too not easily making this information available
It is a great and useful feature nice job :)
I'd say option 2 but Desura didn't work out as everyone expected, so I see no reason to go that way again right now.
Anything that supports the developer is great imho. :)
I agree. Desura left a bad taste in my mouth and frankly I'm skeptical of yet another storefront to split my games library.
you guys should sell games directly, make a site like steam named "moddb game store" and make a program like steam named "modeam" :D
im not buying any kind of mod... not unless its literal full remake type of mod. even then probably not. i bought the game already, any mods u make is on u... make ur own game if u want to be paid.
Note that it says game, not mod. This poll is for Indiedb mostly, it just happens to be on Moddb as well.
Wait, I thought you already could buy games through the Desura services/Client. O_o
