top 3... it took me 4 or 5 tries to actually decide on the top 3 i liked, in the end i stuck with 1 released hl mod, 1 released hl2 mod, and 1 unreleased hl2 mod.

Top 3 down and done.... Some excellent work in there which made choosing a tough business.

I think mods that haven't been released should not be eligiable for MOTY. Kind of like voting for a dead president in most cases. Or we all might as well render some models and claim to be making a mod but really just procrastinate with intention of getting moty from modb every year without actually doing anything what so ever.
And its really quite stupid when you think about it, not a mod till the mother ******* released.

Top two, one is my fav (and i'm on the staff) and the other is unreleased, but i'm on the staff, so i voted :p

I Voted, Empires mod for HL2, Reborn Mod for C&C Renegade, AND that Source Forts Mod also for HL2, most fun mods i've ever played :D
Well not Reborn mod but they've come along way.

I went for 1 unreleased Standalone, 1 unreleased HL and 1 unreleased HL2. I figure the Editor's Choice category will cover the released mods that deserve recognition and praise, but imo most of the recent mods out need more polish to make them more enjoyable or have severe balance/design problems that make them repetitive after a while (note: I'm mostly talking about HL/HL2 mods).
