Ok I just feel the need to post a little update to let the few modwatchers know things are still going on. Cowtipper has taken a leave of absence (possibly permanent I guess) to deal with some personal issues. I was sidetracked by a different coding project, however thats done and I've been back at work for a little while now.

update on things:

  • We have a solid HUD developed for the marines, with radar etc, looks very cool in my opinion.
  • I've built in the ability to take control of turrets (currently only one basic rocket turret available), works pretty well, a bit of fine tuning needed.
  • There is an active menu interaction system for communicating with structures and ordering them to move, build, self-destruct, whatever.

I'm going to post some help wanteds in the near future calling for modellers/skinners/whatever. Anyone with any amount of experience who is interested in developing cool looking structures/vehicles/towers/players feel free to contact me.

Thats it for now, I'll try to get some decent screenshots together and post to the main page.
