Thanks to Att@Paw for making the suggestion about looking at the original ship for the layout. Although most of the layout I have from the series itself and documents, but I actually found a detail model that shows the top part of the ship (outside & around the main bridge area) going down to the deck and the side gun area. This area contains all sorts of levels, walkways, stairs, and rooms.
I wasn't planning on going outside too much in my original plans, but with this new detailed area ... this will add a whole new "chapter" in the game. I'll tell ya ... it's gonna be a bitch to map out and model ... and this whole mod overall will push the Source engine to it's polygonal limit that's for sure. I may actually have to test this when it is all done and post minimum hardware requirements! hehehe!
