So what specifically is included? Well, for starters all the old classics from the original Star Wars Battlefront (2004) are included, each with new features. We've added additional gametypes and eras to these maps, and put in new hand-picked heroes and villains to enjoy.
For example, Bespin Platforms now has Old Republic and First Order Rises eras, and each era has a few "hero" ships, such as the Moldy Crow from Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. And in this map's Hero Assault we have guest characters, such as Hondo Ohnaka. These characters aren't typically heroes in a map, but will appear in Hero Assault.
Many maps that were in previous versions have had overhauls for better performance, better visuals and better gameplay. We've also renewed a focus on supporting splitscreen gameplay. Best of all is that you can play this on an original Xbox that's softmodded, a JTAG or RGH (modchipped) Xbox 360, or On Windows, MacOS or Linux via the XEMU emulator.
Next we've integrated all the DLC maps from the Xbox version of Star Wars Battlefront II. You don't need the DLC, and you don't need the title update. Uninstall both if you have them installed. We also have several maps from the PSP Battlefront games, Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron. Maps like Korriban, Saleucami, Sullust Garrison and Ord Mantell make appearances, plus more.
And how about the infamous canceled Star Wars Battlefront III? If you're like me, that cancellation still stings TO THIS DAY. Thankfully we have not one, but two maps from that game, courtesy of our friends on the Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy team. If you play on PC their mod is a must-have, but if not then we have two great optimized maps for you to enjoy. Coruscant is a great fight on the surface of the planet, and it's gorgeous! (note, the original Coruscant map has been renamed to Jedi Temple). They also gave us a copy of Desolation Station, which might be my favorite of the Legacy maps I've been able to test or play.
Next we found some of the best community maps and brought them into the Xbox fold. Visit the sith world Malachor. Defend the resistance base on D'Qar. Repel the Imperial boarding party aboard a Nebulon-B frigate. Every map in the game supports Conquest in Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War. Lots of maps also support Conquest in the Old Republic and First Order Rises era, with more to come. We've also added new gametypes such as Order 66, which is clones vs jedi, Rebel Raider, the port of the PSP challenge mode, and JubJub, a kid-friendly mode based on the cheat found in the original Battlefront.
Zanzibar and from Halo 2 has been added as a guest map, as has a Star Wars-y version of Dust II, originally from Counter-Strike, but our version is a conversion by Smithwillsuffice from Cube 2: Sauerbraten. Both maps feel great in Battlefront, and create new dynamic spins on these classics.
Also we'd be remiss if we didn't mention UI updates. The biggest update is the addition of background video previews on the Instant Action screen. You'll now be able to see what a map looks like just by hovering over it! We've also added a button to return to the main menu when you've completed a map, and are working on HUD updates to make 2, 3, and 4 player splitscreen gameplay less cluttered.
So without further ado, head to the download! I've included links to our sort-of user manual, where you can find more about what modes are featured on what maps, what heroes there are, etc. Lastly we've created a easy to use feedback form. If you experience a bug it's easy to report it, if you have a suggestion it's easy to give it, and if you just want to let us know you're having fun, it's easy to do that too!

Wow. Even though I don't have a XBOX I feel very happy about that. Amazing you bringing such content to the fellow XBOX Fans! :)
Thanks! I always appreciate your kind words and the fact that you let me know when you find bugs. Your feedback is always appreciated. :)
not to be a pedantic loser, but that’s a picture of the raven’s claw from jedi knight 2, not the moldy crow from dark forces 2. moldy crow was destroyed at the end of DF2
Correct. The Raven's Claw shows up as a prop in the D'Qar map, while the Moldy Crow can actually be flown in the Bespin Platforms map. I love Raven Software's contributions to the Dark Forces series, so I wanted to add the Raven's Claw, but the Crow will always be Kyle's ship to me.
Back in the days i always asked myself as a kid why no one tried to mod the console version of the game.
Hi, the mod runs perfectly in my xbox 360, thank u so much. I have a question: is it posible to have the star wars battlefront III legacy mod in Xbox 360?
That would be up to the SWBF3 Legacy team, as I only have permission to use the two maps I added. I will say that since this has to run at original Xbox levels of detail we would be quite limited as to what we could do. Space to ground would probably not be possible.
That said I have no plans to port any additional Legacy maps. There are a few additional maps planned for the 2.0 release, but they are original works or ports by me.
Okay. I just want to say that your work is wonderful.I will have so much fun with my borther playing the mod
Bro I remember installing an old version of this mod on my Original Xbox when I was 8 years old.
I'm 20 now. You're an absolute legend for being at this that long!
You're making feel old! LOL
Hi, when are ypu going to release the 2.0 version?
All the bugs in 1.99 have been fixed, so now I'm just working on expanding Old Republic and First Order Rises eras to a few more maps. I also have three new maps added for 2.0 and they're 100% ready.
Okay I'll be waiting. Thank u so much for the effort and the good job
Thanks!
