Yeah, things have been tense.

In 2011 we wouldn't even have considered our chances for a best upcoming mod award. So many strong competitors running alongside us and not a lot of progress to show for our troubles meant we didn't have a hope. This year however, we believe we have a shot. With the likes of Black Mesa and Cry of Fear being released, several people have now turned to The Core with a look that says "...Well?"

Rest assured, we are still working on it despite the crappy hands we've all been dealt this year. We even took the time to get an interview with Phillip of PlantPhillip.com. If you haven't checked that out yet you can click here.

So, all we're saying is, why not vote for The Core and help us gain a larger number of watchers? We aim to please as many people as possible and the more people who watch our progress, the more input we get from you guys and the more we can do to improve the mod.

We aim to get a little more media out before Christmas so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, here is some of our favourite media from the past year, in case you haven't been following all that closely.

Of course, a video is worth a thousand images (Well, 25 images for every second at least), so be sure to check out Archie fantastic "evolution of a map" series below.

Happy Holidays Everyone, and thanks for supporting The Core.
