Alright I have to keep this brief however please enjoy browsing the new look MOD DATABASE!
Please report any bugs you may find by using this link.
Known Bugs
- Private message system doesn't work- Images may be stuffed up- Link to homepage in mod profiles do not work- Will either remove or fix the modDB watermarks on images as many people have complained
- Some people can't update their mod profiles
Design
It seems 3 out 4 people like the new design so that is a good start. I believe this layout is alot faster and less confusing once you get used to it. Plus modDB v2 is 100% templatable so if you want to come up with your own design by all means! PM me a mockup, and it may well be implemented.
Changes you may have missed
- The mod rating system now doesn't get activated till the mod is 'released'.
- You can now list all the tutorials in all catagory's. To do so, click here.
Old Feature but good to know
- Oh and for all the mod junkies out there, if you want to quickly find a mod simply type in Moddb.com and it will take you to the closest matching mod instantly!
Keep in mind, the TOPSITE code has now changed, so you will have to fix that on your site. You can find the code in your edit mod CP.
WOW VERY NICE!!!!!

Also, it seems the modDB Image system is currently not functioning. We will work to have it restored as soon as possible.

Awesome :D
the new design looks cool...
if you click on a outgoing mod homepage url, it opens a 404 error page with errors.
I don't have to squint anymore! Very nice work, y'all! I can't wait to explore it. Thanks for all your hard work. It is appreciated.

The above post is myself, but I'd like to add, are the pm's we received but have yet to read, are they going to be embedded in our new mailbox's or were they pruned/deleted.
Well i hate to say it, but you've kinda lost a bit of the moddb style here. I dont like those comic-like icons on the menus. I would say that it's lost it's gaming style and now just looks like an ordinary website.
Having said that, it looks a very professional style and is very clean and clear. Oh and i love the status pages and error pages. Good work guys.
there still are some bugs. For example:
- can't update mod profile
- can't acces mod webpage from mod profile
and not necessarily a bug, but I think the title font on the profiles is a little big. (help wanted, members, mod watchers, etc.)
Not very fond of it. But it is decent I sopose.

I preffered the darker layout myself but the design colour is bright and bold, also the layouts within the mod section profiles are much better :)

I was going to post a tutorial until it limited me to 255 characters...
Nice site but the topsite in links dont work. It also seems like you have changed the location of the image use as link on topsites.
INTENSE, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE NEWS
the /me command does not work :(
/me is sad at the depature of the /me command
lol
elabs, mod profile modifying works fine! :D
as for the /me command, that was my idea to get rid of it :P:P:P
/me kills FORK!
lol :P
Lookin good... :D GOOD JOB!
Glad to see you finish this baby. You should be really proud of your self and celebrate in some way.
/me does work
hahaha!
Beer for Intense!
It'd also be good to see an X rather than a - next to member's names to see if they're banned or not :D

Bah, not very fond of the new layout, perhaps it's just to new, and I'm not used to it. Anyway, some of the forums show that the latest post was by Intense 422 months ago. That have to be wrong :/
And, the picture on the "tab" in Opera is gone :(
Sweet awesome deliciousness...I do think images need some kind of border around them :)
Ven0m, that forum stuff you were talking about was casued by the transfer. It may go back to normal sometime .. but it doesnt really matter. People will post and overide it soon :)
@fork, I can't seem to update my profile though..every time I make changes, and click "save changes", it reloads the modifying page of the mod profile. And none of the changes were saved. What am I doing wrong here? I mean.. it seems to work for others.. but it doesn't work for my mod profile.
Too bright to my eyes, but looks smoothers in some way, maybe the professional use of CSS. I myself like big fonts, but is too much for most people, not everyone use a 1600x1200 resolution. The bugs?.. I dont understand why this has bugs, but has a few of these. I think will be fixed has posible. No really new features other than the tutorial system, and maybe internal optimizations?.. bah.
where are the original banner system?.. will return?.. I like the old banners about others mods. Maybe something similar can be coded.
I feel like a demon outside the dark worl: too bright colors for my demon eyes.
Hmm its alright... much prefered the other 1
I have to say im very disapointed in the layout for a number of reasons:
1. All my news posts just lost their images so I have to retype them all back in, not to mention that my new post didn't get accepted because of it.
2. Now all my images have watermarks on them when I was gonna put my mod's water mark on it, also making my images lower quality.
Now I have to host the images somewhere else for quality :(
oops... found a bug
its just too damn kickass

Image quality is so crap it makes my mod's pictures look like they were taken on a pos computer. It takes away the slickness of the images and downgrades whats in the actual picture too,
And whats with the stupid moddb watermark, it aint moddb's image its who ever's mod it is's image. So mods who havw watermarks in the bottom right have now got mod db plasterd over it.
its great, i think some of the text is a lil too big though :/ other than that its awesome
Take a chill pill! :p It's been mentioned several times that there were errors with porting the images over. It's being worked on.
Frigging WOOT.
I don't wanna annoy u with it.. but it really doesn't work. I can't change my info text on the mod, I can't upload pictures, I can't change the progress bar, I can't change the release date, I can't add the optional description (horror) for my mod. And thats only the things I tested.. I am sure that if I try to modify other sectors on my mod profile, it'll do the same thing as before. Once I click on save changes, it reloads the modifying page and nothing has been saved.
Looks nice, but I'm somewhat lost...
I'm sure its not a bug, but was the mod rating system removed?
No it wasn't....
Hmm, I saw it when Moddb v2 was still in its testing stage. I wonder why it doesn't show up :S
Im trying to post my mod to the top site for hl2 and it goes but the description will not stay, it deletes it everytime.
who the hell complained about the watermarks? it looks good and it's unintrusive. they shoulda done their complaining when the thread about the subject was started. I say screw them. thats IMO though.
