Okay, the School Yard Wars Mod Team have set up shop on ModDB to keep you informed on what were are trying to achieve, and hopefully get a few people interested in the mod.
The mod is themed around the days we spent (or are still spending) in the school playground at lunch time and the games we played. You know, such classics as water bombing, tiggy, catch and kiss, good ol' pea shooter fights etc.
We are aiming to make a fun mod that is a little different from your normal FPS in that the games are more dynamic and, well, a little different to the norm.
So if this sounds interesting drop by our profile and let us know. We are just working through documenting the concept and game play options and will then be getting stuck into the modelling etc. We already have a working base mode, which is essentially the SDK with a heap of fixes and game play addons.
