Work on Warzone SCP v. 2.3 has started on June 30th.
The additional upgrade of the well praised Warzone campaign is intended to improve the campaign even more and fix many bugs to ensure that no errors will pop up during the game. After only 2 days, the upgrade is in very good state and a preliminary change log describing more than 35 edits has been created.
Version 2.2 has been created by Admiral Nelson, the FSCRP's leader. As second in command of the project, I've decided to start working on version 2.3 on my own to ultimate the product before the final testing phase. This campaign has always attracted my attention - it was, in fact, the first custom campaign for FreeSpace 2 I've ever played. When the FSCRP got started, working on the upgrade of Warzone has become one of my top priorities. The content and the quality of the upgrade went well beyond my expectations: we managed to get a special logo for Warzone and an upgraded version of the GTE Vidar, a custom ship which has been created for the original version of the campaign. Thanks to the FreeSpace community, the Vidar has been brought to modern graphical standards and has become one of my favorite ships. Screenshots of the Vidar are very likely to be posted on this Team profile in the near future.
The original campaign creator, Colin "IceFire" Czerneda, expressed his appreciation of the FSCRP Team's efforts in upgrading the campaign. His encouraging claim is very well accepted by the team.
The final version of the upgraded campaign will be available for download on FreeSpaceMods.net and will also be posted here on ModDB.
