I recently bought a XBox 360 Wireless Controller for windows. It didn't work! I called Microsoft and they gave me the run around. Finally I called Ubisoft and they referenced me to a forum thread. From that thread I made a simple mod so anyone who get this controller can easily get it to work.
The corded XBox 360 Controller works without any problems. Vegas 2 is only setup to utilize the corded one. But if you try to use the wireless one, the game won't recognize it... Unless you use this fix. A simple copy and paste anyone with basic computer skills can handle.
So no more bumming on how useless your controller is. Now you can use it for Vegas 2!
This fix changes the vendor and product ID for the XBox Controller from corded to wireless. It also properly configures the buttons.
