Ok basically weve replaced 4 models, the Grenade Launcher and the Machinegun are completly done and working great, the Rocketlauncher simply needs its rockets fixed (kinda stupid on valves part to make each rocket its own physics object), and make the Railgun work properly.
Our mapper john, has been working his ass off. He has finished the map Q2DM8 and is nearly completed Q2DM1 (The Edge Source as its called).
Our coder Josh, also has been working out a bunch of problems. Quite seriously the Source Engine is the most rushed thing weve ever seen, and Josh is a huge stickler for clean code. So swalling pride aplenty, hes coded the grenade launcher from the ground up, and works like a dream. Amongst other coding achievments of course :D
Kris, our overall handyman, mostly does Texture work, but also has been working hard in supplying ideas, revamping the site, and designing a new intro over the one i made (which is rather lame, so its ok)
And then theres me. I do the Producing, Modelling, UVMapping, scripting, and Animating. I do very little scripting so i mostly just model and animte, and direct the other guys around giving them tasks to complete. I have modelled all objects in the game myself, and have helped Kris with some special effects from Maya for the new intro (ive played with Maya special effects for a year and a half now).
So, i must say were about 40% away from an alpha release. So just to get the ball rolling, im putting up a couple screenies i took the liberty of taking during a test frollick by myself.
However, the first alpha only being 40%, its really beginning to feel alot like Quake! The maps are bloody amazing replicas, enhanced with Sources environmental abilities.
Unfortunatly, i cannot release anymore details than that as of press of this article.
