First update notes posted on IndieDB. We implemented a major change to the engine enabling full screen. And some smaller changes to the gameplay concerning movement and visuals.

There were a few major changes to the engine in terms of usability: There is now a fullscreen mode that picks the best resolution of the users screen to avoid large borders due to letter boxing. There is still window mode support! Secondly there is now full mouse support in all menus removing the burden of using unexplained keyboard shortcuts (although they are still there for those who prefer them).

All ships now use the 15x15px module textures and thus eliminating the smaller ones completely this means the ships cover more area of the screen but the beauty of the textures really shine through. Additionally the shield effect has been changed to something more subtle as seen in the picture above from the ship selection menu.

Manoeuvrability of the ships is now partially based on momentum which means the ships turnrate is limited. This is due to weapon systems which are locked to a certain field of view. Therefore we had to make sure that the ships can't change directions in split seconds but gradually over time. This also means that the netcode had to incorporate ship rotation.
