The Permanent Base Update:
Ok guys, this is something i've wanted to add from the start, it's a cross between permadeath and constant progression.
So in No Turning Back, everytime you die you lose all your items that you have equipped which is all your cash, weapons, armour and uniques but you will now constantly be progressing on a statistics board, all your kills, deaths, executions, projectiles deflected and even blood spilt in litres is going to be calculated and remembered permanently (on your computer)
You will then start to unlock achievements such as statues and paintings in your home base that will grant you player skill points, these go towards your bragging rights but also some of the higher tier unlocks such as the bronze bat statue, will grant you the ability to suck all dropped souls (XP) towards you or grant you the ability to slide across the floor which will be taken out as a standard skill (currently all chars start with sliding)
Also you will now be able to find survivors throughout the castle and bring them back to your base permanently, thus improving your base, Example: You may rescue a Blacksmith in the castle, he can then come back to your base and setup a Blacksmith Workshop giving you the ability to unlock new weapon upgrades and new cosmetics for your base.
Also pressing H in-game will bring you back to your base whenever you are outside combat
I am currently prototyping this idea and more will come as it develops.
