Hello again people!
The Collector/Harvester is really coming along nicely. As I wanted to release, I had to finish up a few things
first and while I did that, I was on a row, reviving my motivation and dedication! This means that the mod
has more features than ever, as I've been coding a lot !
Speaking of features!
Since it is going so well, I would really like to hear your ideas on what could make The Collector/Harvester
better!
Right now The Collector/Harvester has these features.
- A fully working gameplay system, based on rounds with random Collector/Harvester chosen each round.
- A police aspect, of where after a server-specific timer, a dead victim will respawn as a police officer.
- Dynamic "Scared" system that adds a panic factor to the Victims when The Collector/Harvester is coming.
- Only 3 traps, all re-placeable with each of their own advantages.
- A dynamic spawning system, that spawns a crowbar randomly, that can be used to break free from traps.
- A balanced factor, that makes the Collector/Harvester slower than the Victims.
- And loads of other features!
This is where you come into the picture!
As I would really like to have more features, I would love to get some new ideas from you guys!
Simply put in a comment or upvote an existing idea or a suggestion and I would love to take it in to consideration.
Especially about what traps the Collector/Harvester should have, as I have run a bit dry!

Ps. Even if you don't have an idea, I would love to hear from you, it just confirms
that there are people that are actually interested in this mod! (which is a big motivating factor for me)

what are the weapons the Police have?
It should be a 6 round revolver in my opinion, slower reload.
Right now the police just have a pistol with to magazines. However the revolver is actually a good idea!
I have an idea for the scared meter. Maybe if it gets to a certain amount, the player might begin to make noise (probably by breathing heavily) letting the collector/harvester know that there is a victim near by. Just a thought
That is a very good idea! But would it unbalance the game, since the harvester would just run around listening?
It is possible...
If there was a way for the player to reduce the meter in some way or form during the game, that might re-balance it. I am not sure how hard this would be to implemented :/
The bear trap (the one with the metal teeth that close into the victim's leg) is obviously a must have and you probably already thought about it. However, i was thinking that it would a be a nice addition if after breaking free from the trap with the crowbar the victim was doomed to walk way slower than before since it's leg is crippled. just an idea.

What about the moving system like walking/running, is it same as in half life 2? I hope it will be more like NMRIH u know, slower?
It has actually always been a problem for me, since when I change the speed of the players, the players animations keeps playing at the default speed. And that look very weird. Right now, I did the workaround where the Collector doesn't have as much sprint as the victims.
I've btw fixed this.
I don't know if this is possible, but maybe the collector could have a passive weapon like a voice recorder. the voice recorder could emit sounds from players who talk, LURING them into other areas?
This was thought about before, with like a radio that play footsteps sounds for instance.
However handheld item, such as a voice recorder, is really really a good idea!
Yeah, it sounds pretty cool and creepy too. Just sounds really tough to actually code and stuff.
