They're not Ordos, Harkonnen, and Atreides anymore?
for the mod they are.
I obviously have no clue what this is all about. Please don't tell the community that Dune20XX will become Mars2000 with these three different named factions. We want the original content to stay as it is.
I'd imagine due to Copyright reasons the story and name has had to be changed. Looking good all the same.
the name harkonen,atreides and ordos are from the novel dune, which are not related to ea. cease and desist are the things they want to avoided. kinda remind me of the halo mod for cnc3.
but the 1st cohort and selena name did not give any 'Oomph' to me.
look at harkonen, although the word didnt have any meaning in english, but the name SOUNDS evil and badS
I hasten to disappoint you, but they are evil only in mod, in the game it will be a fraction of the colonists, more information on the game, I can not yet reveal)

Great Stuff, like vehicules and turrets concept ! But just one question : there is not infantry ..?
its not concepts, its renders, infantry of game is on concepts only, and did not shown here.
Sorry but I'm a little confused, why is it called Mars 2000 and called dune? Did this evolve from a mod into a separate thing (new story, setting, etc)? Or are the alternate titles/names there to avoid copyright problems? Just curious, either way its looking good so far. :)
im making a mod, and with my team we are developing a standalone game with its own story, but with Dune 2000 balans +roster system(replacing units with another units of same class) .
