So here it is,
After so many years, so many trials and against the various agents of chaos that the Great Old Ones could throw at us, I am proud to announce the release of the final instalment of 'The Intern's Story'.
The Intern's Story Part 3 is bigger, prettier, longer and hopefully better than what has gone before and I hope you enjoy it. In this last chapter, you will travel to new and strange locations to unveil the mysteries behind all that Bee has seen in the previous two episodes. This time however it will be from a new perspective, that of Desmond. Dee is Bee's older brother and is determined to rescue his sibling; following the disturbing letters he has received about the nightmarish treatments that Bee is being subjected too. Will the rescue succeed in the way it is supposed too? Only your actions and time will tell.
Before you dive in, it might be good to refresh your memories of the story so far, as there may be certain hints and references that could be insightful to your understanding of this tale of cosmic forces at play in our world.

This is also a perfect time to thank the many, many people of extraordinary talent who have contributed to the project over the years. Without their help, this would never have been as good as it is or more importantly, ever have become a finished mod at all. Thank-you all and I hope this lives up to your expectations.

I cannot tell you how excited I am right now- I've been more pumped for this release than any other mod, and more than any game. Unfortunately finals are upon me, so I will have to wait several weeks to sit down and play it properly >_< I cannot wait to play it, this is fantastic news. Thank you for all your amazing work, congratulations on completing the final chapter and finishing this glorious trilogy!

Pull the rope to lower the bell, go downstairs and swing the bell until the you break the wooden bars, jump in and on you go.

Thanks but... how do I pull it? I can't find anything to interact with, the levers with the leech thingy are not moving, I even tried to jump on the bell...
Ok,
Outside that room with the levers (broken/fused gate control) under the arm of the bell is a rope that goes down onto the hatch cover. Use/click on the rope (much like rope lift in the shaft in an earlier map) to lower the bell arm and raise the hatch cover.

completed it loved it, and definitely needed some closure. But what does the ending mean? they were puppets all along?

As to the ending.
You have put into words, the question that I deliberately left the ending asking.
As I understand the Mythos universe, humans are only fit to be puppets or pawns or... Lunch! It's beyond our ability to comprehend the reasonong of such creatures. So however you interpret it, it is only going to be partially correct. Or... Maybe completly wrong. :)
I hope this answers your question but feel free to challenge me on my handling of the ending.
