When the Mod is finished there will be a setup tool where you can choose between different versions of skins for the models! :) i think this is the best way for everyone...
For example a gray skin or colored skin for a zombie!

Great addition!
Don't do too much variety for models from which you can only choose one in the end. Concentrate on the many textures that are left, this will pay off more than making many character textures from which are only 10 % used in the end.

Will you make a zombie texture which is full of grey? (without any blood and red) My opinion is that form is the most awful solution. Looks like a fully dead body, but it's moving!!! :D The blood isn't grim.
