Hello and welcome to Europe at wars first news blog. Im from sweden so there might be some spelling mistakes, so bear with me.
How it all began
It all started a few weeks ago, when is was playing a new free fps. After I playing it a couple of hours I realised how boring and arcady all the free games are. I've tried alot of free fps over the years and most of them just feels like CS clones. It was then I decided to make a gimmick free WW2 fps with realistic elements in mind. Think of Battlefield 1942 but more realistic.
Where's the war?
Europe at war takes place on june the 6 1944. The first map will be Omaha beach and the last will be berlin. Im thinking of making 5-6 maps, but nothings been decided yet.
So what the gameplay like?
As I said before the gameplay is going to be fairly realistic. No health regeneration or magic medic packs. There will be field packs, but they will only stop the bleeding. Rifle will feel like rifles, they will have a nice fat recoil. If you think you can spray and pray in this game, you will be dissipointed. Iron sights are your friend. It will be class based. Rifleman, Assault and Support are the current classes. More will be added in later versions. There wont be any veichles in the first few version but might be added later depending on how well everything else goes.
Who's making it happen?
Me! Yep, thats right Im only one guy. But dont worry I got years of experience in modding field. However, there is one field that I dont have any experience in, coding. So if you interested in helping me out. Just PM me.

oh and,it will be able to control tanks... fire mortars ... use MG42 stationed and maybe ....... an airborne mission where the american team begin on a plane and then jump and open parachute ..... like bf1942
Tanks and mortars wont be in the first versions, maybe later. yeah MG42s will be stational and deployable. Arborne missions might come in later updates too.
