Post news RSS The switch to Unreal Engine 4 + Sauroposeidon

Its been a tough choice, but ultimately we had to switch to Unreal from Unity. We couldn't achieve the same graphical look. And the newest goliath to the game! Sauroposeidon!

The team spent a tough couple of days deciding whether or not to use the new Unity 5 or Unreal Engine 4, since both were now free with beautiful features unique to each engine. Granted we would have had to restart the development for the game any way in order to upgrade. We were able to achieve graphics that we had hoped for much more easily inside of UE4 instead of Unity 5. We didn't make a public graphical comparison, but between the members of the team, we decided it was best to use UE4.

Now our artist, Manuel, has finished Sauroposeidon since late February, we are just now showing it off with the new engine, and I, Matthew, have to say it was more beautiful than ever.
