Introducing The Organic Indie Preorder Pack!
While hanging out with fellow San Francisco indie developer, Unknown Worlds, we had a crazy idea. Steam, Direct2Drive, and other distributors often have extremely popular game bundles... why not try that ourselves? Here's our first crack at it!
As of today, Wolfire and Unknown Worlds are bundling our upcoming games: Overgrowth and Natural Selection 2 Special Edition. Purchasing both games would normally cost about $70, but now you can preorder them both for $39.95 (saving 40%)! Watch the video below to learn more... in HD!

What makes this bundle special is that unlike many other "indie" bundles which are hosted by corporate middle men, we are hosting ours independently. This means that 100% of all sales go directly to supporting our game development.
Additionally, both Wolfire and Unknown Worlds practice open development which means that preordering gets you access to early builds of our games. Since both games include editor tools, users can already start building their own custom levels (and have been doing so)!

We have a Mac build and Windows build, but not Linux yet -- Ryan Gordon himself is working on it though.

I don't know if anyone has already asked about this:
It's no biggie, I just want to know how I get the games once I've bought them. I used google checkout, but when I had to type in my adress for the order, I got kind of confused; I ended up aborting the order in the last minute.
So do I get a code, and then go download the two games from their respective sites?
Count me in if the games are downloadable :D
P.S.: It's too late for me to do any actual research on the subject, which is why I'm bothering you guys... :I
Wow that is a bold move that I really hope works out for both teams. I mean its obviously great for the gamers but for once I am actually concerned about the other end. I really want Wolfire and Unknown Worlds to prove that open development works so I hope this pulls in enough new purchases and attention to outweigh the losses.
Don't get me wrong though, I really like this idea since it should spread very quickly and if anything just get your names out there. I just really want to see these teams succeed and would actually prefer to pay for both. I know I'm crazy but anytime indie is concerned I always dodge any discounts or deals and go for the full price, they deserve every penny of it. Will there be other ways to donate or still purchase each game for crazy goofballs like me :)
