The Masterplan is a tactical squad-based heist game set in the shady 1970s. The theme was inspired by the old school heist movies, with its retro-style coming from our reminiscing talks of the golden olden times, and about 'how would retro games be done with modern technology'. We went with the hand-drawn 2D graphics in a top-down view to give the player the best overview of everything that's happening, and added a Slow-Motion system to combine the best of both worlds; smooth action with time to think when you need it.

Art Museum Takeover

During the game you'll get to heist your way through 20 unique hand-crafted heists in a persisting career mode, manage your crew from heist to heist by hiring the right goons, and by making sure they are properly equipped. To guide you on the way, we were fortunate to sign Tom Jubert (FTL, The Talos Principle) to rewrite our story to give the game the narrative it well earns.

While a player can rush through the heists, the test of a true mastermind is to execute the plan to perfection, keep the goons and the by-standers alive, and walk away with the maximum loot without anyone calling in the cops. Each level is a sandbox, so depending on your preference, you can hit your targets loud, or in stealth, or a mix of both. Keep the civilians under control, knock them out, or leave no witnesses. It's all up to you.

Finally, please check out our release trailer, buy the game, and set your Masterplan in motion!

The Masterplan is now out on Windows, Mac, and Linux. The game can be bought from Steam, GOG, Playfield and Humble.
