So far I have spent most of my time just quickly testing the ideas that I have had and seeing if I could get them working without any coding and see what ideas I can carry on with and which ones to drop. so far I have completed tests on:
Zombies of Rage
Zombies Of Rage Is going to be a side scrolling beat um up in the same vein ans streets of rage So far I have been able to get the zombie model to work as your player model with full attack animations. A health bar system and a scoring system which both can be used in my other game modes. I have also got the camera to scroll along the screen with the player. All of which can be seen in this video:
Sneak is going to be a infiltration/puzzle game were the player has to steal treasure from increasingly harder levels. So far I have been able to accomplish that if the player is seen that the game will reset the level. I have also got crouching animations to work and if you are not crouch the combine will turn around to look at you as well as making the walls glass so not to obstruct the players veiw when you are close to them all shown in this video:
Top Down Shooter
I have not come up for a name for this one, but it is a simple 3rd person shooter were the player will have to survive waves of increasing harder zombies until they can not survive any longer:
I'm also working on a game mode that involves using the Guitar Hero controller to kill your enemies and a 2.5D performer At the moment each of the game modes are in there early stages, I am also working on a couple more tests to see what I can get out off the source engine.
