M.I.N.E.
The Choice Is Yours Poll

Fans,
As we are continually developing, wrecking, improving, corrupting, and repairing this mod, we find ourselves engaged to the point of near oblivion to all else around us.
What this means, is that sometimes the faucet of content runs dry.
So to help our fans along, we'd like to propose a short, brief, contest in which participants can choose the next M.I.N.E. Sneak Peek movie content, from a selection of potential choices.
The way this works is simple; simply reply to the forum with your election, and the majority vote will win. The poll winner will be announced after the final results are tallied.
The contest will be open from the time of this posting, until Saturday, June 18th. The winner's content will be posted as the next M.I.N.E. sneak peak shortly thereafter.
Choices:
- Weapons Demo II - Featuring weaponry to be included in M.I.N.E., in a variety of scenarios.
- Atmosphere demo - Featuring the creepy, eerie side of M.I.N.E., with all of the enhanced goodness
- Stealth With White Night Vision - What can you do with the right tools of the trade? Find out.
- Uninterrupted Gameplay - An at-length view of realistic gameplay, including all menus and interactions.
*Please indicate choices by 1-4, corresponding to the order listed above.
Who will win?
The choice is yours!

1.
Ich bin im Florida :)
Thanks for voting!
Something tells me I'm going to need to be working on animations in the SDK soon...
Naw, it's OK. I'll just keep enduring missing animations files and CTD that happen after two hours of work.
Levity aside, you're a tremendous help.
Meh, I'll just watch the weapon demo, find that old list you sent me, dig up the configs folder from one of the build versions you sent my way and see what animations it needs, form a new list, and get those animation sorted out so you can start getting some of the new and unique weapons in.
Also, hows that suit code working out?

4 (:
It seems the most interesting content may be seen here. (:
Hmm. 3 votes for the un-edited gameplay, and 1 for the weapons demos. It'll be interesting to see who wins here; in either event, it's going to be a fun ride.
2.
1 mixed with 2? Pleaaaassseee? XD
But nah, I'd have to go with 2 if I have to pick one.
Better yet, cant we have all of them? :D
Pretty please with a cherry on top. ^_^
4 I get two votes btw (if Wulric wasn't dead he would vote 4 to).
4. Definitely.

4 uninterrupted

im going to have to go with 4 it seems the best way to see some of the mod
4 should show us 1,2 & 3 ;p lookin forward to the demo guys!
2 :D
3.
I'm going to have to vote 4; I want to be popular.
Seriously though, 4 sounds like the business.
4
Wow! Four is really tearing up the vote track - this is encouraging. Also, what do you guys think of locale? What area would you like to see?
Have you had enough of the Cordon or Swamps? Do you want to move to the Swamps, and really want to see more? Do you embellish the idea of living with the bandits?
4 isn't the winner yet, but for any video, an idea of the locale's you'd like to see are a good thing. That way, I can "put it up for consideration".
I also shot some footage of a silenced (yes, silenced) sniper rifle taking out bandits across the bridge to Limansk last night, toying with the idea, using the "elite" white night vision.
Thanks to everyone who's contributing feedback! You're putting life into the mod. :)
I think any area is good, just shows us part[s] with most fun/most new features in M.I.N.E.
Btw, Video at least 10 minutes, dont rip us off. :D
The only caveat to a longer video is file size. I usually shoot the footage in native 720 since my pansy 5770 can't handle doing max settings AND FRAPS at 1920x1080.
At 1280x720, file sizes stack up REAL quick, and as you can see in some videos, I try to preserve the ol' 60 FPS hallmark, too.
720 video at 60FPS chews through storage like a rat through a wood wall.
To that end, I think I can still do a sizeable (more than 10 minute) video, but it WILL take some time to render, let alone plan.
I already have several ideas as to what to shoot, and where, both figuratively, and literally. :)
Cheat the fans?
As Buddy Holly said, "That'll be the day... when I die".
Hell yeah - 2 !!
This is a great choice, personally. It really shows off the "horror" elements in the game, which are often missed in the mix of guns-blazing action otherwise depicted.
Suffice it to say, there are some areas I won't go to after dark in this game. :)
VOTES SO FAR:
1: 1
2: 4
3: 1
4: 12
Four might be the apple in everyone's eye at the moment, but it's not too late to have you voice heard!
Contest ends on Saturday, June 18th 2011, at 12:00PM CDT (GMT -6).
Thanks again to everyone providing feedback. It really helps us mold this into something that will be enjoyable for everyone.
You counting the votes on the main page as well, or just here?
Just here. I figured if the votes have hanging chads, swinging chads, or partially punched out chads, I won't be counting them towards the total. :)
And yes, those are references to the idiotic recounts of the infamous recent American presidential election where candidates demanded recounts of poorly submitted voting slips. :)
A little late to the party but here goes: 4.
There is still over a day to go, if I've worked out the times zone correctly.
As the guy before me said: 4.
It's a win-win. We get a little bit of everything, most probably.
I want to see some bandits eat buckshot and go flinging with Hollywood physics!
4 but it needs to include a lot of 1
Well, the contest is over!
One Texas Instruments Calculator, a dozen counting beans, one abacus, and three penny weights later, it appears four crippled the competition without even trying.
We appreciate all the valued feedback, and will begin construction of the new movie as soon as possible. Users are advised to keep a 300m perimeter around the work area to avoid being caught in the blast radius.
Warning to the users in the front four rows:
You will get wet.
Thank you.
Wat? :D
