A real windfall of new media this time, starting off with the the promised concepts of the British and German gunships. Gunships in AWAAP come in two flavours, a Standard Gunship mounting two turrets (one MG and one heavy AA) and a Rocket Gunship version carrying flak rockets. The Standard Gunship loiters on the outskirts of strikecraft battles pummelling enemy fighters with fire, while the Rocket Gunship gets straight into the action, launching its rockets into the midsts of enemy aircraft. Like the bombers shown before it has a limited payload and must reload once it has exausted its rockets.

Next up (as a change from the strikecraft that have been the centre of focus for the last few updates) I present the British and German dreadnoughts. These iron leviathans are comparable to Homeworld 2's battlecruisers, only stronger and with no anti-strike craft weapons. They devastate airships and can weather a real beating thanks to thick, all over armour but really need to be protected from opportunistic heavy bomber wings which have the punch to defeat the Dreadnoughts thick armour plate and the accuracy to target critical systems like engines.

I've also begun work on the fleet badges for the three sides, primarily as something to get people intrested and involved with the mod. These are the first version of the badges, which I hope to develop more and add new ones to. These will soon be avaliable fo download from the AWAAP mod profile for use with vanilla Homeworld 2. And lastly and leastly I have finished the new updated story, covering the history of the disintegration of the United States (as charted in Crimson Skies), the first world war, the interwar years and the start of the war around which AWAAP is based. You can read the story and comment on it here and on other threads in the AWAAP forums.

You really got an original look. I like the plane models and I should try and model one of the gunships, if you don't mind. Just for fun, of course.
