Could use less 'realistic weapons' and more fun novelties like freeze guns, flamethrowers, shrinkers, bombs that detonate in various ways, poison stuff, getting dazed, etc.
The problem with a HL2 audience is that they expect a professional, team vs. team no-nonsense mod out of everyone that tries. I say screw those, and keep at it. You've got some great potential here.
