Hey guys, Zach here again. It seems like every time we do this, it's always, “okay, the next update will come a lot faster!” And before any of us know it, it's three months later and we haven't made any updates.
But anyway, I just wanted to post a quick update to let you all know what's going on. It may not seem like it, but we've actually made quite a bit of headway in the last several months (if not a lot of tangible progress... but more on that in a second).
The big thing we've worked out is the final concept and setup for the actual game. Looking back on it, 90% of the time spent in the year and a half since I joined Tension has been spent figuring out exactly what we wanted to do. The biggest roadblocks have been our limitations as a team and the technical capabilities of the Source Engine.
But finally, we refined the game down to a simple, achievable, yet still (we hope!) very fun layout. I don't want to go revealing too much just yet, but let's just say for now that the game will begin with some interactive tutorial-goodness and culminate in some epic, free-roaming fun :)
In other news, we've been looking around for an assets-creator to supplement Mikkel, who's been very busy and unable to devote time to the project. I won't introduce him quite yet, as he's still creating the first round of assets, but hopefully we'll be able to really get this thing off the ground before too long.
As for Alex, he's still tweaking code, and he actually got a pretty damn cool feature working just recently – but I'll let him tell you about that himself :).
These words probably ring hollow by now, but we really will try to have the next update out a bit sooner. Until next time, guys!

You guys should ask Valve if you could all get a job there.
