After a long wait we finally heard back from Valve regarding whether or not we’d be able to release on Steam. Unfortunately the response was not what we were hoping for, and so while we won’t be releasing on Steam like we had hoped we will be releasing here on ModDB on April 20th.
“Why not immediately?” you might ask. Despite the fact the mod is finished and has been ready for release, due to the fact that we won’t be releasing on Steam we now have to go through our files and make sure any references to Steam are altered. Not out of a requirement from Valve, but so that mentioning of our release platform still make sense.

Did Valve give you any reason for decline, at least?
Looking for more “full game experiences” that cater to a large audience. My guess is, it’s mainly due to how short Local-Motive is.
Sucks that it won't be released to Steam, but hey! At least it's dropping this month! Can't wait :)
