The "team" is currently me and a friend, Zebra, Zebra is experimenting with the helo physics, while i do most of the rest of the coding.

Where shall i start, first news update, lets just go by the list shall we ;)
Right now there is a lil set back in the work, and ask why? Anser is simply i need my mainboard back, as its broken 3 weeks ago, and i really do hope it will arive this week, if not i gonna start kick some butts at the shop.

On the bright side, in few days a BF2 server will be under my command, where, to speed up the work, and have better view what could need some more work on, and all the beta testings, as so far, beta testing was, either me or Zebra hosted a server and 1-2 more of our friends hopped on that server, in quite heavy lag. I have high hopes for this server, as it will be the main command base to the whole work.

As for the actual developping, I looking for sound files that i can use in the mod, since it's a duo of us doing this, and i know more then my friend, i preaty much the handy man lol. And i actualy got a very good sound effect, and was very cheap as well, worth it since, as in the current set of things, there wont be to much additional sounds to the mod, this one though needed. And it is for the Nuke. Other high rank sound effect on my hit list for sounds, is for the Ion cannon, but the more i think about it, i may need to request that later on, we will see. Also, bellow the changes list, i made it bit more detailed.

Changes ------------------------------------------------------

  • All ground vehicles load distance increased all vehicles visible from a mile distace by naked eye, no more "invisible enemy" in the distance.
  • Adjusting ground and air vehicles: including engine power, armor, weapons, increased variety and diversity in arments, as well some "new" vehicles
    -All choper have automatic missile firing for the small missiles ( hydra missiles ) instead of the click-click fest BF2 style
    -All tanks engine power increased, so won't die on a lil loop
    -Tank shell velocity increased
    -Making all weapons have an limited ammunation, only exception from these are the stationary weapons, machine gun emplacements, every other vehicle will have limited ammo from everything, including the fog screen as well, with such adding some realism to the game.
    -All the small helos, AH-6, OH-6, MH-6 and the MD-500, engine power increased which quite positive in flight
    -M-109 Howitzer recived crosshair, also armor got lowered some, while direct hit damage been increased, kills any tank you hit with it, splash damage remained and that fattal for infantry really
    -Mi-24 Hind have recived plany changes, armor been increase significantly, recived additional passenger seats, and gattling gun got tweaks. Ammo lay out have been changed as well 2x128 small missiles and 3x4 AT missiles.
    -AH-64 Apache also got changes, machine gun got tweaks, ammo lay out been changed to 3x64 small missiles and 2x8 AT missiles
    -SU-25 variants, bomber with 8 bombs on the wings ( DC feeling ) automatic fire, then one with AT missiles ( 4 currently, maybe 6, will decide ), cannon got tweaks as well, more ammo, and higher velocity
    -A-10 variants, original, and a bomb/missile combo version, bombs got tweaks, cannon got tweaks, higher over heat penalty, but fires quickly deadly ammunts of 30mm uranium bullets.
    -New DPV variant with minigun
    -Gunner weapons, like the minigun on the blackhawk got tweaked, higher velocity for the bullets and slightly increased fire rate.
    -Re-added weapons, stinger site for US as comper part to the ZPU-4, and Phalanx AA as comper part to the Iraq SA-3
    -New effects for the SCUD and missile alty is on the way
  • Adding radar to some vehicles:
    -AC-130 gunship
    -M6 Line Backer
    -Tunguska
    -SA-3 Goa
    -Phalanx AA ( the carrier anti air weapon )
  • New, tactical weapons: such as Cruise missile, Ion cannon and Nuclear strike, all be linked to the command trailer, usable by any player who enters, target area must be painted manualy by placing a beacon.
  • Work on helo physics improvements: aiming to make it more like as it was in Desert Combat anno, obviusly the engine has limitations, but we think we can get something similiar, even if not 100% alike.

  • Hand weapons: such as adding MP5, pick up weapon kit.
