Hello ModDB! Today, we present to you version 2.5 of Slipstream: The Price of Freedom for Homeworld 2. This versions' development cycle was a lot longer than what was previously intended, but it paid off greatly in the end. Most of the things that have been troubling players for a while have been fixed, including the nasty bug where subsystems would be destroyed too quickly in a battle. The unified UI system that has been in talks for a while has finally been implemented, along with its new in-game taskbar. Also new, is the physics model, which was not built on the original physics model. Several components that were on loan from older mods, have been removed, including some effects you saw in 2.4. This version is a major release, but is just a milestone towards finally polishing the mod for the planned campaign, which will begin in the fall. TPoF currently is being projected at being feature complete by version 2.6, which should be released by the end of the Summer 2009. Until then, enjoy this release, and please report any bugs you may find in our bugtracker thread in our forum. Please do not post them on Moddb, as the scattered comments are hard to search through. Have a look at of the things we have been working on in our screenshots and videos below. Enjoy!

i think it might have something to do with the new physics changes, the mac HW2 isn't as compatible to modding as the windows version...
If I'm wrong, you are free to call me a noob ;)

Looks like all ModDB downloads are doing that, so hopefully it'll clear up soon.

I have enjoyed playing this mod immensely but i can only play on the basic skirmish settings or the game crashes to desktop immediately after loading. This sucks a bit. Is there a fix for it?
