Post news RSS Sleepers Has Moved to Unreal Engine!

With the updated support of Unreal Engine Paper2D, we've decided to convert Sleepers from Unity to Unreal!

We know those developers out there probably think we're crazy for making the switch. Unity is an amazing engine with very intuitive features that streamline the process for creating indie games. So why did we choose to jump to Unreal? Our lead environment artist has been working with Unreal Engine for about eight years, and as our future projects are planned for UE4, it's better in the long run to stick with an engine we know best, and that's all there is to it. Yes, the challenge of working with a newer iteration of the engine is ever-present, and the Paper2D mode for Unreal is still in the early stages, but we have enough so far to flesh out the vision we had for Sleepers from the start.

In addition to making the switch, we're updating some of the art, including this new sprite for Tajai in the above gif done by our star artist, Rachel!

Thanks so much for sticking around with us as we move even closer to finishing the trailer in the new engine! For more Sleepers info, don't forget our Tumblr, Twitter, Steam Greenlight Concepts page, and the website!
