Greetings Shockwave fans. 0.95 is probably going to be the fastest release in SHW history, but to ease the wait, here's some of the new stuff we've cooked up since last time you heard about our new generals. And there's more to come... ;)
First up: The Basilisk, the GLA Salvage General's metal monster:
As you can probably tell, this is a tank which can go toe-to-toe with most other vehicles in the game and win. However, its role is more that of a super-heavy tank destroyer. It's main gun can devastate almost every MBT in the game with one blow, but the reload time is long, and it's quite vulnerable while doing so, only having the pintle-mounted machine gun for protection.
Alternatively, the Basilisk carries heavy Tungsten slugs which can be selectively fired. These projectiles will go straight through several vehicles, punching through their armor as they were paper and causing heavy destruction among the enemy troops. This ability does have a long cooldown, so the player should be careful in selecting targets.
The Basilisk is unavailable to Deathstrike until he gets three stars; then it costs one General's Point to unlock.
Second, the Ravage Tank, China Special Weapons' Main Battle Tank.
One of the game's toughest MBT's, the Ravage is designed for soaking up damage while Leang's devastating special weapons tear up the enemy. It's not very remarkable when it comes to speed or damage, however, but it's a tough nut to crack.
Last, but not least, USA Armor's artillery unit.
The Howitzer's futuristic design belies its rather traditional operation. It can rain explosive shells from afar, with a range and power more than comparable to even China's best artillery designs. Upgrades furter enhance its destructive power.
The Howitzer requires three stars and a General's Point to unlock, by virtue of Ironside's considerable strength in other areas early-game.
quality wise shockwave is better then Halogen because we cant take civil liberty and have to make skins and textures and concepts that are as close to zero hour as possible.
aza approves!
I dont like the t28/95 thing there but i love the mod and prophet_of_the_pimps good luck with beta testing
I agree with Blck, but the look pretty nice.
looking very good, stuck to the style of the original races nicely.
looking forward to trying it.
You cant really compare 2 very different mods: Shockwave is an enhancement and added units that stay with the pure form of Zero Hour, Halogen was a Total Conversion so they made completely new material and had to stick to Halo's universe.
i need a lot of help :flame:
shockwave is far mor beter the halogen halogen was tooken of so ha ha ha
