Yes folks, it is upon us. Shifter v1.7 is just about done. Right now I'm in the testing stages, specifically HDTP implementation testing. I wouldn't want any of y'all to load up v1.7 with HDTP installed only to find it doesn't work. (Or worse, load it up WITHOUT HDTP installed and find out it crashes you) Right now I've got a few folks testing it out for me. Once I'm reasonably sure I've got all the bugs worked out (or at least the big ones) then I'll take out the debug stuff I'm using for testing, (so your logfiles don't fill up while you're playing) finalize it and upload it here.
If you would like to chip in and help test, I suggest you wander over to the HDTP forums and find the thread I have posted there. And pick up HDTP Release #1 while you're at it, if you don't have it already, because I gotta say, it's pretty awesome.
