Its been a while since I was last around here, playing games or modding in general. After Ruiner wrapped up, I was tinkering with some html5 related stuff before taking a long break from modding and gaming in general. I went back to the drawing board literally all this time and been back doing art, and comic page work.
One thing that has lingered was the story of Ruiner was never told. The resources and time weren't there during the development of the mod.
So I have been throwing around the idea of bringing Ruiner back in a bi weekly web comic to tell the tale never told. It would finally not only tell the story, but also show the world which was planned for it.
There has been a large binder sitting on my shelf with all the stuff created for it just gathering dust... If it were to work out and there was still an interest in the property, a small scale standalone game would happen.

Sounds pretty damn cool to me. Though I wish I actually had DOOM 3... since it doesn't work on the BFG Edition.

The game would be stand alone and not require Doom3. Additionally it would be released for free or extremely cheap, as in $1.

Do it man. Keep it alive. The stuff you let me use from Ruiner to add to my Perfected Doom 3 mod took it into the realm of epic. Ruiner was a great concept and the execution was great. Do it.

Make it happen, charge a bit, Ruiner is a great mod and would certainly be cool as its own game.

Dang, time flies. I remember being super hyped for this mod to come out. Even more happy that there are intentions to move past the beta phase. Keep up the good work!
