Post news RSS RnL RTTF May 1st

Welcome to the May 1st RTTF, I know many of you have been asking for more than eye candy on the updates of the game. Also you have been wanting RTTF FAQ's. Well I wanted to start a new segmant to the RTTF Posts. Starting this week I am inviting all of you to post a question to my in box. The one asked the most will be put to the Dev team and answered in the May 15th RTTF. Now on to the news!

The code for the updated version of the game is coming along nicely. The two coders, Michael Lebson and James Barnaby, we have are hard at work on fixing bugs and improving code. They are also adding in things that are on the wish list for all of us. One of the biggest jobs in any game is a good code to build off of. These guys are doing great and I can't wait to show off some of their work.

ANIMATION:
Joseph "iGuy" Lemieux, our new animator, is working on new animations, I hope to show off some of his work very soon. The designers hit him with requests the moment he hit the scene.

GAME ART:
Eero has started working on the 2d art direction to go along with the new attitude we have here in RnL development team. Even though everything is still in WIP stage, has sent me this teaser image of the new logo and 2D art in development.
I think this give you a good feeling for where he is headed with it. And in my opinion, it looks really hot!

MODELERS:
Sean Whales was tasked with making a para-glider for use in the game. After a few weeks of quiet he posted up a progress on what he has been doing.

Send in your questions to my in box on the forums or email hunnicutt@optonline.net. I will work to get you answers to the top most asked questions. Last but not least we're still looking for modelers and texture artists.

Thank you and see you in two weeks.

Para-glider looking good, will it actually be used in the gameplay or only for scenery?

Congrats to the new animator, and the 2D art is also looking cool. But a paraglider? Can you post some links to your reference? I really haven't seen one in the ww2 scenery and you made me curious^^ nevertheless, good modelling (I guess).

There is no single player, it's a multiplayer only mod.

you guys dont have any plans for bots right? but yea I love playing multiplayer but there is not always people online and it would be fun to fill the up battlefield when there is not enough players. perhaps even more slots would be nice. still a very good mod, really appreciate your work.

Very good logo, portrays the game well. However, the artwork takes away from it I think. The quality looks fine, but you can't actually read the logo properly as there's too much cloud in the way and the game's not about flying and bombers, is it? Why not emphasise what the game is really about?
