Hi all!

Hope y'all have had a great year! As with last year, AQT and I wanted to share with you some good news for Return to Jinglin' Town.

We've spent the last couple months fixing up some of the issues with the map and adding some new features to be released today in v1.2!

Here's what's new in this version.

"Family Feud" hero assault mode

The most notable change is the addition of Family Feud, our new Hero Assault mode for the map. In Family Feud, Santa and Atnas set aside their differences to fight the local KXMS news team. Play as the Claus brothers or as Diane Simmons or Tom Tucker, who are armed to the teeth with beer bazookas and snow chainguns. Diane and Tom are also of course fully voiced!

More music tracks

Once again we have added some more Christmas tunes! Most notable are the new ABBA song "Little Things" and the David Bowie/Bing Crosby duet "Little Drummer Boy / Peace On Earth," among several other lovely ones. We've also included a very special Christmas song as a hidden bonus that plays on very rare occasions. ;-)

General improvements

Finally, we've made various general improvements to the map and modes, such as but not limited to:

  • Fixed critical AI pathing issues in Conquest, notably the AI getting stuck around the northern CPs
  • New health/ammo crate textures
  • Proper chunks for E.L.F.S. dropship
  • New textures for Tom/Diane
  • Improved sound mixing
  • Fixed vehicle camera issues
  • Fixed other various small bugs

And that just about covers it! Download v1.2 with the links below.

Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year as always!
