Resource for LA updates news

Hi all,

Happy Holidays! This news post is to be used more as a resource for LA updates from the RU team/modders. As some of you know who are on this page often: I help to maintain, moderate and post files when applicable. There are a few others that post occasionally, but I plan on continuing to help with the moddb page until the zone takes me :)

The most up to date info is always posted on the RU VK page. If using google chrome, allow it to auto translate the page. If using another browser, use what ever translator that is available or just copy and paste the URL here:

For instance, on the VK download page, you will see a really cool mod “STALKER Lost Alpha - Mod Update: Item Use Animations” that adds animations for eating/drinking/playing instruments, etc… it is really well done and immersive! If you allow google to auto translate, you can easily understand the release notes and how to download, etc... This mod specifically needs you to use the updated binary, provided in the download.

**Knowledge of manually adding mods/gamedata folders and or merging will be needed!

I check the above pages daily for up to date info. I will continue to post any info about core LA updates here as well, but not about addons.

Download, then place in main LA dir and overwrite when asked.

WARNING!
As a recent discovery, an engine bug (possibly as old as SoC itself), was found. It causes the game to load ALL your save games and their previews into RAM. This means that big save folders will have a negative effect on the game performance. Please keep your appdata\savedgames\ folder tidy, and preferably small.
